Updated: PHEW Director Rebels, Trashes Keepstar During Exit

May 14, 2018

In the early morning of 12th May, PURPLE HELMETED WARRIORS Director DarkLordKarn removed the clone bay of the Camal Keepstar, destroying all jump clones. He also emptied the corporation hangars including about 45bil in assets made up of 5 fitted FAX, 2 Rorquals, and a cache of HICs and Guardians. Also lost was 20bil in fuel and the destruction of a 40bil Keepstar rig.

DarkLordKarn had the following to say about his actions and rationale:

A few months ago, JakeMiester tried to RMT his accounts. Following in the footsteps of Tara Read, by quitting eve and taking the ISK as cash. He’d been planning on leaving Eve for a while, but the RMT went wrong. Tired of putting up with his behavior, being bad, and after the substantial loss, he was kicked out of PL where he was taken in by #rekkingcrew (PHEW). Jake then started accusing everyone around him of hacking his account, from general members to RoCkEt X himself.

For unknown reasons, Jake became fixated on me being the one that hacked his account. The general opinion is I’m the one he trusted the least or maybe jealousy as I had director roles. Jake is friends with PHEW command in real life and had convinced the remaining directors that his story was true.

The command in PHEW has been falling apart for a while now, with barely a handful of people active, so tensions were running high and during arguments that morning. Someone informed me that my super/Titan was being baited in revenge. I had a feeling something was wrong, and I only used a dread, not my Titan, following the weeks of failed supercapital hunt one after another. Nothing was adding up, and this confirmed it. I wasn’t not going out like that, I took the first move and did the heist.

Purple Helmeted Warriors executor and #rekkingcrew’s leader, RoCkEt X, had the following to say:

#rekkingcrew is a supercapital hunting group comprised primarily of PURPLE HELMETED WARRIORS, an alliance partially merged with Pandemic Legion corporation Sniggerdly, and their friends. It is almost certain that they will recover from this loss, although it does hint at greater internal issues occurring within the leadership that such great paranoia, or genuine concern depending on your point of view, could be had by one of its key members.

Since the initial publication of this article EN24 has now spoken to Jakemeister who is apparently the reason for this taking place.

EN24:What were the interactions between you and Karn like?
JAKE: We had met each other in real life once, the guy seemed nice enough if slightly odd IRL.
In game he knew his shit, even if he came across as hostile towards those who didn’t sometimes. I have nothing bad to say about him in game, he worked hard for the group.
Things went relatively well, like we knew each other on a first name basis, had each other on facebook etc
He had access to the 2/3 of my accounts that got taken, my titan pilot and my main. The only account I hadn’t shared with him was left untouched and we have logs of him being active on our discord the entire time my assets/chars were being stripped, despite it being midnight-9am UK time which is where we are both from.
One individual potentially still had access to the titan, although as far as I’m aware the tokens were rolled between then and the event.
That individual never had access to my main but Karn certainly still had access to both accounts that got “hacked”.

EN24: Were you at any point planning to bait out Karn’s supercaps?
JAKE: No, he’s paranoid. The leadership actually disagreed with my assessment that it was him who took my stuff. Unofficially, with all the evidence leadership and some line members have seen, some agree with me. His actions further cement my suspicions, stealing stuff to prove you didn’t steal is a bad way of proving innocence.

EN24 can confirm that we have seen evidence that verify Jake’s claims from an external source.
