The passing week has supplied more than enough videos from around New Eden. From recruitment videos, fake trailers and some hilarious or tense PvP moments, these are EVE News 24’s picks for the past week:
#1 Out of Sight – Hot drop time 25.01.2016 by Atmosphere
Covert Ops drops are some of the most fun activities in EVE Online. Stalking a target, setting up a trap then springing it is hugely satisfying, and quite lucrative as well. This nicely edited video of one such drop, with a good soundtrack to boot, shows just how much danger can be a small stealth bomber force, especially to a carrier.
#2 The Blob by Yog Soloth
Since the early days of EVE Online the debate about cost versus result in PvP has raged. Is it worth losing a battleship in order to destroy a bunch of frigates? Is a tech I battlecruiser kill justifies the loss of a tech II cruiser? The following video won’t supply you with an answer, but it will show you what happens when a few pilots in expensive ships confront a much bigger force in cheaper ships.
#3 The Art of Poor – Sustainable PVP in EvE Online by John Drees
JOhnDrees of Honorable Third Party [THIRD] released another video, this time on sustainable PvP – How to achieve it while giving ample examples from his own vast experience. Quite an interesting and instructive video by all accounts.
#4 Titans, Supers and Bubbles, a story of how we nearly killed it all by Lord Molly
While most of the major news sites of New Eden already covered the impromptu battle of L-C3O7, its always nice to see a news item done in a video form like this:
#5 WAFFLES. – Solo Dram by DJfunH8r Eve
The Dramiel has always been a favorite for solo roamers, and this video gives plenty of reasons as to why.
#6 EVE Intro Final by adamskyride
Supposedly an abandoned project, this video of only a minute and a half of footage is so spectacular to watch that it really makes you want to support the creator so that he may finish it one day.
#7 Eve Online – OMG! IT’S A SCORDITAN! – When PvP players go mining by AdmiralSkoomer
Bergmann Federation [BERGF] continues to astound with its clever recruitment videos, this time of a mining operation in a hilarious video that will leave you smiling from ear to ear.
#8 The Scrub Squad Trailer 2016 by MrArcheras
We can all agree the new Suicide Squad movie trailer was quite simply, awesome. However what happens when you marry that trailer to EVE Online in order to introduce Providence Bloc’s Special Interest Group (SIG) – The Scrub Squad? I’ll let you be the judge of it.
#9 YoloSwagtron’s Wyvern Sacrifice ft. U S A Revelation & PL by Mr Hyde
In order to raise awareness and funds for suicide prevention, Yolo Swagtron of Test Alliance Please Ignore [TEST] ran a 24h streaming marathon in which he also, well, welped a Wyvern supercarrier to Pandemic Legion forces. This moment was captured on video, showing the beauty of EVE Online, especially of dozens of titans firing at the ship with Mr Hyde113’s very patriotic Revelation adding its lasers to the mix.
