So it’s that time of the week where I have spent hours upon hours of trawling through YouTube to bring you the BEST (well, in my opinion anyway) videos that the Eve Community has to offer. So here we go!
#1 Eve Online VR Video – The Ships and Factions of New Eden
Virtual reality is a big buzzword at the moment, and with youtube integration a few YouTubers have taken to making 360 videos. One of these people is no stranger to the Eve Community, a goon of almost the same infamy of the Mittani (except most of us don’t actually know who he is in game that is) Scott Manley:- with this stunning Virtual Reality video introducing all the races of Eve, best watched on mobile phone, or if you’re lucky enough to have a pair of VR goggles.
#2 EVE Online – the battle of Safizon
Eve Online’s lore elements have been ramping up to levels probably never seen before. With CCP Affinity having worked out how to allow NPC’s to shoot at each other the live events have now taken on a life of their own. In this case hundreds of ships from the Amarr Navy squared off against a drifter fleet in the continuing saga of the Drifter Invasion now playing out in highsec. In this video delonewolf explains how he found the event and gives you a rundown on the events of the day.
#3 EVE Online – SOLO DREAD DUNK
I love videos that show people using unlikely ships in situations most people would never dream of. In this case, we have the Caldari Dreadnaught the Phoenix. When you mention the Phoenix to most of the Eve Community, you are greeted with awkward silence or laughed at. As a Caldariphile, I have always had a soft spot for the missile chucking behemoth so stumbling across this video showing how this dreadnaught fares with the new missile modules and its recent changes made my week.
#4 With Love, From CODE.
Chribba, one of Eve’s most famous figureheads was, for what is a rare occurrence, outside of Amarr, and not in the Veldnaught, but in a Charon Freighter. Of course we all know what the end result of that would be. This video is a love letter from CODE. to go with the killmail they sent Chribba.
