**UPDATED** DRAMA: Spaceship Samurai Rogue Director drops SOV and resets HERO Coalition.

February 25, 2015

UPDATED on 25th February 2015 @ 20:30 EvE time.

This morning around 08:30 EvE time Spaceship Samurai (HONOR) dropped their SOV in CB4-Q2 due to an unpaid bill.

This is a knock on effect from the issues that HONOR had earlier in the week when a rogue director, Cpt Disturbed, started dropping SOV, un-anchoring SBU’s and messing with their standings towards the HERO Coalition and other friendlies. When the issue was solved and the rogue director was stripped of his powers, he continued to mess with HONOR through an alt which also had high level permissions. This alt was quickly identified and also stripped of it’s powers within HONOR.

After the incident things for HONOR went back to normal and the standings, SOV and SBU’s were all fixed. However no one thought to check that the rogue director, or his alt, hadn’t messed with the bill payment system.

So this morning, a bill for SOV was issued and the box that allows for automatic payment had been un-ticked, meaning that the SOV was dropped and the HERO forces had to scramble to restore it to HERO control.

Spaceship Samurai will be hoping that this is the last surprise that their ex-director has in store for them. For the full story on what happened earlier in the week, please continue reading below.

Betrayal in Eve is not something that is hard to come by. Throughout the history of the game, there are a huge amount of tales and cautionary stories about how trust placed in an individual member can lead to the collapse and dissolution of an alliance. Band of Brothers, GoonSwarm, and dozens of others have been dissolved from the inside by directors who have betrayed what their organization stood for, changing the road ahead for hundreds if not thousands of players.

While PL continues their phony war against HERO over a selection of border systems, in the early hours of February 22nd, sovereignty structures in JBY6-F abruptly dropped offline, causing the system to flip to “Unclaimed” status. This troubling event was noticed quickly by the high command of the HERO coalition, who organized multiple fleets in an attempt to save the system from an attack by PL, who were already reported to be planning on taking advantage of the system’s abrupt drop. With PL slowcats and titans logging on to people’s watchlists, a large HERO Eagle/Tengu fleet under Travis Keikara mobilized towards JBY6-F in a desperate attempt to save it.

While the main HERO Eagle/Tengu fleet made their way over to JBY6, a small PL Muninn gang moved around within JBY6, protecting their TCU, as a small force of around a hundred pilots attempted to stop their 20 man fleet with Caracals, tackle, and finally three carriers and a dread. The fight went as expected, with PL massacring most of the small ships and eating an Archon and a Moros alive as they finished off the fleet. They then bailed out as the main HERO Eagle/Tengu fleet approached the system.

In the end, the Pandemic Legion TCU was killed, and the system is currently in the process of being saved by HERO forces.

HONOR are to be treated as neutral at this time.  Do not try and dock at their stations and their members are shoot on site.  More info to follow.

The abrupt and sudden drop of sov by Spaceship Samurai was particularly worrying to HERO people; when Almost Awesome [N0FUX] dropped their sov in WJ-9YO back in December of 2014, the station was captured by Pandemic Legion and held for a number of weeks until they finally pulled out of the region to go and help Legion of xXDEATHXx in the East. Not only had the system of JBY6-F been dropped just like the event back in December, but behind the scenes, a certain foul smelling substance was hitting the fans at high speed.

CptSpaceship Samurai is led primarily by Securitas Protector with multiple subdirectors underneath him to help run the alliance smoothly, including a pilot by the name of Cpt Disturbed. This pilot  has been in Concordiat for years but had been inactive for a number of months. According to a reddit post made by Securitas, shortly after the alliance’s return from faction warfare space over the holidays, Captain Disturbed returned from his sabbatical and asked for help in getting the funds together for a supercarrier.

Securitas distributed funds to him, but not enough to buy a super, as the funds were needed for sovereignty payments, SRP bills, and the standard sort of expenses that are needed in order to keep the lights on and the wheels turning in a large, nullsec based alliance.

Externally, Captain Disturbed gave no signs of going rogue, but on February 22nd, he off-lined the JBY6-F TCU, and started switching off the SBU’s in other systems and removing them so that Pandemic Legion could anchor their own. At the same time, Captain Disturbed reset standings to all of the HERO alliances, effectively locking HERO pilots out of Spaceship Samurai stations, and also causing their Jump Bridges to go sky-net and begin killing friendlies.

Finally, Captain Disturbed stole anything that wasn’t nailed down inside of Concordiat, making off with an estimate that ranges anywhere from twenty billion to eighty billion isk with assets factored in.

What is believed to be stolen (but not yet confirmed):

25 billion in moon goo products.

14 billion in supercap funding.

~200 Ishtars

~1000 Thrashers

Entirety of CDIAT’s wallets.

Cpt Disturbed continued to use an alt within the alliance who also had high level roles to remove SBUs in VA6 when it was killed abruptly and his roles stripped from him.

Spaceship Samurai has dropped sov twice previously in large upsets inside of the alliance; once when the corporation No-Mercy had an internal argument with Securitas, and once when Imperial Guardians held their sov hostage against the alliance in order to hold onto their moons. This marks the third, and smallest, sov drop that Spaceship Samurai has experienced.
