Just a moment ago, Pandemic Legion & Co. killed a Nyx owned by Thor Kerrigan of Guardians of Asceticism
Now this story is different than the usual capital lowsec gank as it begun when Simon Perry was traveling through Asabona when he suddenly noticed a Nyx appear on his overview midwarp. He immediately looked at DSCAN and noticed that there were no POSs to be found. So therefore he must have been at a safe spot! Quickly he screamed his findings on teamspeak and a prober was burned to system.
The prober jumped in as Simon had already started dscanning and noticed that he was between station and gate. The prober quickly got his position, warped to it and landed right on top of him. A cyno was then lit to bring in the main fleet whilst there was still no response from the nyx. HICs pointed the nyx and DPS began to be applied with still no response from the nyx to the confusion of the aggressing pilots. The Nyx died shortly after all the pilots got on the killmail.
Thor Kerrigan later confirmed to have been AFK and when he returned to his keyboard roughly an hour later he saw his pod back in station. He still doesn’t know what happened so he contacted a couple of the people that were on the killmail and stated that he was sure his cloak was green before he left his PC. Now the question remains, What Happened? I dont even know! Was it just pure luck of Simon warping through him, hereby decloaking him or did Thor just simply forget to cloak? We shall never know!
To note: the reason for the lack of fitting was it had only recently been purchased and he hadn’t had the time or opportunity to complete.
