Hello Ladies and Gentlemen.
As I’m sure none of you have heard of me I’ll quickly explain. I’m one of the editors here at EN24, you may have seen a couple articles posted by me but they’re generally few and far between. The majority of my work here involves dealing with writers and posts before they hit the front end and banning every single person in sight from the comments section.
Over the last few months a few things have changed around EN24 and I’d love to get the opinion from you guys as well as offer you the chance to ask any questions or make any suggestions but first let me just mention some of the changes.
Back End
We’ve had quite a major change to the way EN24 works in the back end with the aim to both increase article quality and maintain coherence. I’m not going to go into a great deal of detail of the particulars but It’s included an entire restructure of the team and how we work. These changes are probably about 6-12 weeks old and I’m curious if you as readers have noticed a change on the front end. Please note that these changes only apply to EN24 writers and not our syndicated bloggers (Ripard Teg, Gevlon Goblin, Marlona Sky etc), that’s a different area that I’m not too involved in.
Comment Section
Some of you may remember that we announced a new set of rules for the comment section of EN24 a while back. We’ve been doing our best to enforce these rules, and encourage constructive discussion without stepping too much on the “Freedom of speech” atmosphere we promote. I would love to hear your feedback on these changes.
On a little side note, as I’m probably the only one the actively bans people from the comment section and also an overly nice guy if you ever do find yourself banned and want to know why etc you can always contact me in game on the character TheBoJangles.
Website Changes
Finally I’d like to ask about 3 very recent changes to the website we’ve made, first would be the popup advert that appears when you visit the site for the first time in the last 3 days, second is the new integration of sharing and re-tweeting articles on various social networks and finally the “suggested for you” section you may have noticed appearing as you reach the end of an article. General feedback is welcome.
Basically I just want you guys to let us know what’s good, what’s bad and what’s on your mind. Please try and be constructive and avoid all saying the same thing, if you’ve got a point similar to another keep them in a single thread, I’d rather not see 800 threads about Gevlon Goblin. Remember, I’m watching.
I shall be lurking around, and I’m sure some of the other members of the team will pop in and out of this post to answer your questions.
