Yesterday, there was an amazing fight which pitted NCdot, HERO and PASTA against Init & FA, resulting in 3 archon and substantial subcapital losses.
The Initiative was going around reinforcing towers in Delve with Dreads and Megathrons. PASTA, who live in Delve noticed the fleet and sent scouts. While scouting the Initiative fleet, PASTA convoed Travis Musgrat, one of NCDot’s main FCs, who decided to form Proteii. The NCDOT fleet got ready and bridge titans were logged in and preparing for a long journey to Delve, far away from NCDot’s current staging area.
PASTA and the HERO coalition,, who had opted to work with PASTA, warped their respective fleets onto the battlefield and began racing to engage the INIT capitals. The Initiative, seeing the PASTA and HERO fleet landing and with enough luck that their dreads drifted out of siege siege just as the HERO/PASTA forces landed, ordered their dreads to jump out— escaping just as PASTA bubbles went up. PASTA then successfully tackled the Megathron fleet and lit a cyno for NCDot to bridge in.
NCDot jumped in and quickly warped down to the INIT fleet and the subcap battle began. Initiative was heavy outnumbered started to bleed megas quickly. In an attempt to staunch the flow, Initiative Triage were jumped in; but, by now it didn’t matter. CFC forces, consisting largely of FA, another Megathron fleet and started burning towards the fight.
Unfortunately for INIT, it took too long and the triage archons had died. The Initiative fleet attempted to MJD out, but the NCDot Proteuses had fit warp scramblers, meaning that a handful were left behind and finished off. Initiative ordered all fleet participants to go back to station and reship into Tempest fleet issues. By now CFC was 1 jump out waiting on their Jump bridge in NOL- for the status of Initiative. Aware of the FA fleet next door, Travis Musgrat quickly warped his fleet to the NOL- gate and told his fleet to jump in. This wasn’t what the CFC fleet had prepared for and subsequently chose to their jump bridge back home.
The beleaguered INIT fleet, abandoned by the CFC Megathrons, could not feasibly re-engage the NCDOT, BRAVE and PASTA forces, resulting in their decision to stand down. Without targets to shoot NCDOT, Brave and PASTA returned home.
