Even after the majority of The Dinner Squadron has moved out of the region, since the collapse of the coalition, The Initiative still remains to defend what assets they have against the advancing Russian forces comprised of Against ALL Authorities and Darkness of Despair.
Today marked one of these defences, of an R64 neo tower owned by INIT in the system of V1V-6F, NPC Stain. The details of this battle are explained below from each side of the conflict, with the outcome shown here.
Another quick Skirmish in Stain – Rusrus have been reffing Init R64s in stain over the last few days. Vlade Randal, quite confident that nothing could possibly go wrong, dropped a handful of Dreads, Carriers and a mish mash of Sub Caps on a Init Tower in V1V-6f.
They cynoed in 3 minutes before the POS was due to exit reinforced. We quick formed bombers due to low numbers and cynoed in 500,000KM away from the 15 or so -A- dudes. Warping in on 20 we killed off most of their support pretty quickly, pointing Carriers and Dreads as best we could. Drones from the carriers killed quite a few Bombers, including myself….twice….derp. We focused a Rev that had entered siege and got him to low armor before he exited Siege to be repped by Vlade who had entered Triage.
We swapped to the Triage but couldn’t really break the tank. We tried regardless and soon a Hostile Cyno went up and the DD Chimera Fleet jumped in. We waited until they started warping and then warped up to the Cyno, killing Vlade’s Rapier and tackling the Chimera that was left to rep it. We primaried the Chimera as it was the only carrier left on the ping, spamming like a mad man on my point until i realised he was in Triage. Figuring it was another waste of time since we couldn’t break the Archon earlier we stayed on him trying to force the rest of the Chimeras to warp back to him. Strangely enough he started dropping like a sack of shit and wasn’t boosting. The Chimera Fleet landed but couldn’t rep him and 30 seconds later he died. Pro Triage Fit Mate.
We brought our blops in and got back to TG-, seeing no sub cap fleet formed for DD but 25 Capitals still shooting the pos we reformed, with better numbers, into a Rokh Fleet. We cynoed back on them at 30 and started going to town on Vlades Archon. Buddy list suddenly light up like a christmas tree as Hostile Supers and Titans logged in, along with Subs mass undocking from C9n Station to come save their Capitals. The Majority of Chimeras had jumped out just before our cyno was lit But there were still several dreads and carriers in our bubbles. We worked through them and any brave sub caps that warped in one by one to die on our sharpened BBQ sticks. Four more dead capitals later another hostile cyno went up 200km off us, our dictors warping and bubbling their Sub cap fleet as we tried to kill 1 more Dread. We herpderped abit and as the bubble popped on the dread he jumped out, in low armor.
We scattered off pos and went safe, burning to a Titan a few jumps out and Cynoing home.

Wylnann of -A- had this to say:
It started with a small capital group of which Dafarr Maul was FC, leaving from c9n to shoot down some init r64 tower. primary, we formed together with dd, but dd moved with their fleet an other direction. I think 10 caps, with an even number of support from a left direction v1v and started shooting the init pos. INIT came in with a small bomber group, trying to bomb the caps but not very successfully.
Whole cap fleet waited for incoming supercapblob, but instead, init brought in a rokhfleet. We had a short chaos, but after 2 minutes, dd canceled whatever they did and a rokhfleet was formed. We undocked with about 150 though unfortunately we had to take a midwaycyno, otherwise more caps would have probably lived. The support fleet jumped in and init moved out quickly. We’ve been able to tackle some slow init pilots, but not as much as we wanted.
Anyway, the pos was killed, mission accomplished. All in all, you can say we’ve been caught by surprise that init still fields so many ppl after they are going to leave and we did hold the field and place our own new tower.
The conclusion of the engagement is this mail, which marks the eventual loss of the field to the Russians even though they put up a valiant defence and managed to score a selection of 2 dreadnaught and 3 carrier kills for the trouble.
With INIT slowly losing ground to the Russians i wonder how long it will be until they fall before the onslaught.
