So the word on the street is strong regarding COVEN’s destruction of several C0VEN HOLDING COMPANY titans (4 of them), Xeovar from C0VEN broke the news on their internal forums:
Tonight around 2am ET someone logged into all 4 COHO titan accounts, stole (or self destructed) titans, self-destructed pilot’s capsules.
Petitions made, we got IP address of the person who did the stealing – Poland (220.127.116.11).
Anyway, thats worth a lot RL money so we’ll probably look into getting it formally reported to polish authorities – after all, recently someone was convicted for stealing WOW gear.
I hope the person who did the stealing enjoys his freedom… as long it lasts.
We got heads up of this:
Rumor has it C0ven has lost 4 titans to a renegade director. Asset loss and full loss is unknown. But confirmed atleast 4 titans.
THIS NIGHT 4 TYTANS WAS STOLEN FROM C0VEN ALLIANCE ABOUT 3:00 AM
ALL TYTANS PILOT WAS FOUND THEM SELF DOCKED AT STATIONS IN PODS
SUSPECT: CEO C0VEN XSEOWAR STONE + BECOOL
So, what do we have?
Account Sharing Claims
One might ask himself how the hell someone logs in four titans and self destruct them? pretty much is clear that the account sharing issue comes into mind. EVE Online password security has never been an issue unless you happen to get “generous” with your login information. In the end, it is pretty much likely to see the petition go through, but don’t be surprise if these account get a slap in the hand for breaking the EULA regarding account sharing.
