Boys and girls, it is official, the X-trading Corp heist is now the biggest documented EVE Online scam, netting 1.5 trillion in Iskies, worth something like $ 45,000 if you were to buy a similar ammount of isk via PLEX.
Both the victims and the perpetrator came forward. We now have screen shots of a big parts of the loot, and a small interview with the XT board of directors’ spokesman!

We managed to talk with the spokesman for The X-Trading company, it was a brief interview and although he agreed to talk under the cover of anonymity, riverini agreed to confirm his identity and vouch for the credibility of this Q/A:
EN24: do you have any comments, on the article we ran a few days ago, concerning the loss of 1.3 trillions of your assets?
XT: Yes. it was fairly accurate. you can say that a member of our corp stole our stuff. We continue playing and have enough stuff for our members, as your own article says. The thing that hurt the most is that it was a member that we never have thought of being able to do this.
However, this is not the end for XT. it is a restart! for some time XT has the problem for “too much stuff” “too much (inactive) member” and likely “too old member”
now, at least we don’t have too much stuff. It’s a good way to reform our corporation.
EN24: Could you offer us some details of the incident:
XT: a member has stolen most of our assets. and much or our isk – but only from xt and not from our backbone corporations.
EN24: How much was stolen?
XT: We lost around 1.5 trillion! but he got nothig of our locked stuff or player stuff.
EN24: How did this happen?
XT: an old time xt player which reactivated his account and joined us again. He was a very active, friendly and helpful player. So while we were preparing for our move, one of our director assigned him a title – the wrong title with too much rights -, and about 6h later XT was just “empty” 
After he took the stuff, he told one of our members in a convo that “its not personal just business.”
But at least, our move south, was done 
EN24: So you guys are staying in Razor?
XT: No. But that has nothing to do with the heist. We decided to move on to another ally before that happened and will continue with the move. We will try to implement a new corp system and attract new members as soon as we finished getting into our new home.

The screen shots of the stolen goods are worthless – they don't show anything of significant value. EvEHQ is easily faked by entering bogus item values. Calling Bullshit on those screen shots guys.

What screenshots are you looking at? Because i see multiple dreads and carriers and who knows whart is in those cans? Also i see multiple bpc`s suggesting there are bpo`s aswel and faction mods
All I see is 1 carrier, 1 charon, 3 dreads and a bunch of capital parts.
It's nice, but I still have to see something approaching this 1.3t

The "3 piles" are all unpackaged, individual ships. The carrier is also unpackaged. Unpackaged items don't stack, scrub.

This wasn't a scam. Scams are long term efforts to get people to freely give you isk as a result of their stupidity. And I agree, those screens prove nothing. They show nothing. 5,000 players could make the same shitty, multi-billion isk asset screen shots in a second.

Run an employment query on him and take some random small scale corp he was in. "Plush Compound" for example. Run a query on some of the Plush dudes on evewho.com and see who was in XT until recently or even multiple times.
On the screenshots above then there is even an Ibis named after one of them. If you have those two, the other ones are not far away. It really isn't that hard.

these guys had it coming and well deserved. Arrogant attitude. Huge carebears, who love to send others in battle, but not pay them well, while they sit in Tenal. Rip off business partners. I.e. for their t2 shop they charged often higher prices than Jita. Do something like escalation in "their" space as blue guy and they kick them out. But if they were in our space, they were allowed to carebear there. Buy a super? No discount. No offer. Better sell to red guys for bigger profit.

Thats how my corp leadership does it, oddly enough, and it works. Greater repercussions that way.

But that is exactly the flaw in their system: They are happy about former corp mates coming back and they nearly automatically assume these are the friendliest people ever. Given a few well-placed well-meaning actions they are then granted trust enough to literally wreak havoc, because XT sees them as something close to a Prodigal Son or so.
