One of the most active Low sec operations out there, the return of their original CEO with guns blazing set up events in motion. Two separated groups are residing in the area now, and their points of view on what’s fair and not concerning these events couldn’t be more different.
MirrorGod, who left for Pandemic Legion, introduced loyalist corps into the Alliance (Heretic Nation) and wrestled control of it from the people that were left in charge, who have retained the Heretic Army corp ticker and joined Atrocitas.
After contacting both parts involved for their input on the subject, we got MirrorGod’s faction reply in the first place, courtesy of Yendaj:
1. Mirrorgod and Hoggs created Heretic Army the original in 2007.
2. I helped Create Heretic Nation, got sovereignty for them in Vale of the Silent with Triumvirate.
3. Heretics then moved to Aunsou and met up with The Perfect Storm and The Final Stand
4. We moved Heretic’s to Amamake and combined forces with my lovelies from Outbreak.
5. I created Heretic Militia and we joined Faction Warfare, during which time Heretics and Outbreak took over Amamake.
6. Outbreak left Faction Warfare, Heretics remained.
7. Mirrorgod was the main FC for Faction Warfare, minmatar militia. There we recruited quite a few pilots to compliment our old schools who had been with us since Fang and Pananan.
8. Heretics moved back into Heretic Army and allied with The Final Stand and Red Box alliance
9. Heretics remained overlords of Amamake, Red Box lived in Huola.
10. Red Box disbanded and Heretic Nation reformed and remained in Amamake for the next 5 years.
All of this was under the Leadership of Mirrorgod.
MG decided to go to PL and expand his pvp and knowledge base. He entrusted Heretic Army to people he believed held true to Heretics loyalty and historic base.
These three people decided to establish the power for themselves and like someone who has recently purchased a fully restored Herritage building…(and are quite sociopathic) broadcast to all and sundry that they were the original architects.
The Original Heretic Army was closed and the name used to re open a new corporation where Jude was the founder and CEO. Karl Planck himself has barely been in Heretics for a year and the other plonkers who feel they are in leadership roles, some barely 5 months.
They made all the old school Heretics re apply to corp with interviews etc and grilling. Then proceeded to give director roles to new players into corp meanwhile, giving zero roles to the original directors of Heretics.
It took 6 corporations in Heretic Nation to change executor, six different ceo’s voted with their feet.
The old school Heretics chose to go with Mirrorgod and the only ones left in the fake reformed Heretic Army as the newer people who have no clue of Heretic History in the first place.
They are merely squatters that are irrelevent in the entire scheme of things. What matters is the ticker of Heretic Nation and the alliance itself.
Just like Goonfleet vs Goonwaffe…. Heretic Army traitors will soon be forgotten and the true Heretic Nation ticker will live on with the people who created it and made it famous in the first place.
When you ask anyone that has lived in that area for the past 5-6 years, the only person they will attribute to the legend of Heretics to is Mirrorgod himself. He is the one that FC’d them all in faction war, he is the leader of Heretics, Mirrorgod is the only name people remember.
Mirrorgod did not want to split that alliance down the middle, he simply wanted back something that belonged to him in the first place and was stolen from him. He did NOT give it away and then decide he wanted it later, he was given no choice whatsoever when they obliterated history and remade it to take the glory themselves.
There isn’t much of a side they can take in this matter due to the obvious…. common sense needed when viewing corp histories goes a long way in telling the story.
Atrox is their new ticker and they should really start fresh and make it their own, create their own fame and their own history. They will never be Heretics again, regardless of what corp they think they are in. People dont care about individual corps in an alliance, they care about the alliance as a whole and they are not in Heretic Nation any longer.
None of this would have happened if Griznatle and Karl Plonker hadnt wanted the power so desperately themselves that they raged and lied and divided everyone down the middle.
The fact is, back when I left Heretic Army, I had logged in for an entire month on a daily basis and the most I saw in corp/alliance chat was 2 people.
Mirrorgod came back to eve and all of a sudden they started getting big fleets again, doing lots of new and interesting things and actually being Heretics. A quick view of their killboard a few months ago before the new patch will show you their inactivity and how it increased and flourished when MG came back. He organised fleet ops, FC’d them every day, did all the usual hard work he always does.
I have no issues stating very clearly right now that Heretic Army inside Atrox will just become a shell again and fall by the wayside, totally over shadowed by their new Overlords in UWOF. Right now thats all they have to keep them functioning. Most of the pilots left in the traitor HA were solo pilots anyway, they flit around ganking here and there with little direction or functionality.
I wish them well…..as per the norm in eve, what goes up, must eventually come back down again..
Thats the story in a nutshell…
Not long after this, Heretic Army’s members offered us their vision of the story, courtesy of famous frigate pilot and forum warrior Liang Nuren:
MirrorGod brought a couple of corps into the alliance, installed a new executor corp, and booted everyone from Heretic Nation. It seems to have been an attempt to demand the Heretic Army leadership turn over CEO to MG.
Since then things have been cool but not overly hostile. It’s hardly what I’d call “a civil war”. As to the future: we’ll reform under a new alliance and continue doing what we do.
I can imagine MirrorGod spun up some big elaborate thing but the truth is that things are fairly simple. He wanted to take Heretic Army back from the current leaders because he founded it way back in the day. He feels entitled to the name, so he tried to force the corp leadership to give it to him with a hostile takeover of the alliance. /shrug
My guess about the future of the two entities is that MG will never be allowed back into Heretic Army, but may be allowed back into the new alliance after he’s been in time out long enough. He’s a good grunt, a good FC, and a fun guy on vent… but he’s not cut out to lead Heretic Army anymore.
Also: FYI, Yendaj *IS* MirrorGod – provably. We have him on comms immediately responding to people locking up Yendaj with “Hey, don’t shoot my alt”. He accidentally refers to things the “other one” (Yendaj/MG) did in first person. He accidentally responds on the wrong window when dual boxing.
In every lie there are truths, and in every story there is perceived truth. The story I will share with you today reflects only the times when I was either privy to or a part of the decision process’s of Heretic Army. I will provide links to assist in my time line, which I will attempt to keep as unbiased as possible. I will also provide some thoughts, that are from my perspective, not that of a leadership position.

Please note the following data is from my memory, do not take as Canon -
In 2009, Mirrorgod left Heretic Army to join Sniggerdly. Heretic Army has no direct leadership other than Hoggs, Kri Matar, and some other “old garde” (all of which are either AFK or unsubscribed). I had joined about a month earlier, after parting ways with Python Cartel. Heretic Army is in a holding pattern, I invite a personally friendly industrial corp, Jersey’s Best Dancers, to join Army and fuel the assets of Army. Mirrorgod comes back a month later, I join AoS, which then joins Bane. Bane collapses after a power struggle between Vilwrath and other concerned parties. Many pilots from FA leave to join Kri Matar and Jones Bones in Army. Final Agony also collapses, Mirrorgod leaves to rejoin Snigg. After about a year of stormy weather, Heretic Army loses a lot of members, including many high value members to other entities in Eve. Around the same time Jude Lloyd and Finkov join Army, both quickly become active members in leadership. In February of 2012 a post is made on the Heretic Army forums concerning the new focus of Army, that it will become a incursion running corp (I assume this coincided with Mirrorgod’s dyspo moon being taken away by PL leadership). (pastebin.com/UkL5hNDF) Link to the forum post is provided. Finkov, Mr Whitei God, Jude Lloyd, myself, Karl, Commander Slavin, Tetsel, and the other active members of army voted that something had to be changed and that a change into incursion running 24/7 was not a option. Leadership went into thinking about how to do this. Closing the corp was the only option found by the current leadership. As a long term member I was given the task to shut down the pos.
After this reorganization I was given a director role. Mirrorgod rejoined army after this, telling everyone he did not want any power position (this was his stance to the membership public) and only wanted to FC and pewpew. Heretic Nation, a few months before Alliance Tournament 9, started losing many power players to inactivity. Our main FC, Propolis, left eve. Before that he stated many time in Prop fashion we were scrubs and will fail. Karl, myself, Commander Slavin, Whitei, Wili pulled together and with our passion and the support of the HA community, HA got to the pre-semi final rounds. A lot of time and effort, sweat, blood, was spent trying to pull everything together last minute. We might have gotten farther but we accidentalled ourselves. The person building our fleet ships had AF 5, which on in ishkur means +5 more drone bay. Matt Nova only had AF 4, which mechanically meant, in server terms, turned into a brick. CCP didnt realize this until after the fight, amid the massive conversations and screaming from my end to them about how Matt was frozen and couldn’t move. The only reason he actually was on the field was because he was teleported through CCP power. CCP put out a post later that day warning people of the problem, but we were not allowed to redo the match.
I assume that Mirrorgod, since rejoining army, had started plans to retake nation, through the slow movement of corps allied to him joining nation. He had voiced, in moments of mad, that we stole from him. I have always told and asked every community member of nation to come to me or anyone in leadership and ask for a dialogue, I feel that communication is the only good way to deal with things and make sure everyone comes out ahead. Mirrorgod never came to me directly. With the knowledge I have now I can see where he had hinted towards something, but at the time I had not read into it as much as I should have. I was not as active as a ceo should be. This is my sin. I dont feel that the way this was handled was the best, such a schism has been created that will never, I feel, can be sewed shut. Mirrorgod does not want to communicate anymore, he feels that it is either his way or the highway.
(pastebin.com/872gamtB) – full convo logs of everything I communicated with mg/mg alts.
Being a fan of what usually goes on in Amamake (that is, a lot of people taking the pod express back home, in style),
I am pretty curious to see what sort of relationship will these two entities have from now on. Open hostility? It’s unavoidable to a certain degree. Perhaps they will merge again, or could one group be forced to leave the area?
MirrorGod seems pretty confident in that his leadership will eventually attract pilots to him, while the members of the corporation think otherwise.
