Yes, the big elephant in the room today is the biggest fight EVE Online has had in years which we covered live for straight 5 hours last night. I hope you all had it and let’s hope this returns as an often seen feature of nullsec other than the rarity that it is right now.
Where should I start? We had the opportunity to talk to the instigators of this massive brawl, Drunk ‘n’ Disorderly’s / Lost Obsession’s Wey’oun gave us the following exclusive insight.
Friday evening we RF’d a Liandri (Cal-Mil) Small Tower as retaliation for their CEO congratulating DBRB for killing our dreads in venal (when we suicide dropped the CFC Station camp). It came out of RF at 0130ish. TBH we totally forgot about the timer and only ended up forming due to one of our spy’s in I-Red telling us that they were coming to Blackrise to kill 20 DnD caps.
So we formed on titan in Navpocs and guardians, and initially only bridged in DnD guys to try cause an escallation of some kind. Even the few DnD alone smashed the fuck out of the caldari and ired joint fleet killing maybe 30 for no losses. We then heard a rumour of a DBRB op stalking DnD from one of our other sources.
[ 2013.01.27 00:58:51 ] Tekitha > wey
[ 2013.01.27 00:59:00 ] Tekitha > can u get any intel from cfc / hbc for this?
[ 2013.01.27 00:59:02 ] Tekitha > they formed?
[ 2013.01.27 00:59:39 ] Wey’oun > im already asking but tbh my spidersenses are practically orgasming right now let alone tingling…
[ 2013.01.27 00:59:44 ] Wey’oun > this is going to end soooo bad
[ 2013.01.27 00:59:45 ] Wey’oun > lol
[ 2013.01.27 01:00:01 ] Tekitha > indeed
[ 2013.01.27 01:00:03 ] Tekitha > thinking the same
We then accidentallied across dasboot group in umi-kk, realised what was about to happen an recognised this as the chance to kick off the mother of all supercap fights, more importantly, a supercap fight away from VFK. After a quick convo with PL, the trap was set. We ninja swiched alts into hics on the titan as the first cyno went up and in came the carriers… and suddenly Leviathan!. our hics bridged and pointed, and i started screaming to PL to get to the midpoint. As the PL cyno went up, there were already multiple cfc supers pouring onto grid and for the first ~10 mins~ PL were massively outnumbered. DnD/FATE went on blapping any hostile hics and firewalling fighterbombers which allowed the first PL supers to be primaried to jump out.
We then got bored and swiched everyone out into hics and after a 45 min warp across 10AU had 15+ hics on field pointing everything that was hostile. At the same time probing for the many DC’d supers/titans. tackling a few in SS’s like the avatar (BL Tackle). Unfortunately many of those titans / supers got away as cfc support fleets realised the supers on main fight grid were already fucked and worked instead on clearing tackle off DC’d supers which to be fair they did very well.
Awesome fight to be part of, and we hope it provides the much needed spark to kick off the war
To DBRB: Round 3?
Is it superfluous to mention how everyone and their mothers rallied up to get a piece of the Deklein Coalition? Sala Cameron made the following battle report which he gave us for cross posting.
So I just made some tea, sat down on my chair, started up some SNSD and was about to go to bed. Suddenly a convo pops up from a Drunk ‘n’ Disorderly FC. I
accept it, expecting a bunch of carriers or a super tackled somewhere soon. He told me that CFC is trying to bait him in Asakai, a lowsec system in Black Rise.
Furthermore, he said that they were about to start a support fight and that he is expecting a bunch of CFC carriers plus supers on login screen.
A fleet was set up, midpoint sorted. Waiting for more intel from the DnD FC, I decided to not ping for anything yet. Suddenly a “TITAN FAILJUMPED” (meaning that
he jumped instead of bridged) popped up in the convo. Pings went out for slowcats and supercarriers, not telling any other entity about it yet.
We went to the midpoint quickly, DnD organized us an incyno. I jumped my cynocarrier in to check what’s going on and what ships are actually on the field. I saw
~20 carriers spread out a bit and a Leviathan, recognizing immediatly that it’s Dabigredboat’s titan. Hedliner and Calistro were with me on channel command
already and we decided to go in, well knowing that CFC was logging supers in.
Apparently, tackle was already lost on the Leviathan. It jumped out as soon as the PL slowcats/supers materialized. Carrier primaries were called, at the same
time a lot of CFC supers and titans started to jump in (more than expected to be honest). The first Carriers went down, we started to primary a Hel
(eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=16068221) and it went down very quickly. CFC were primarying a Nyx that managed to warp out in low armor. However,
their second primary didn’t have that much luck and died (eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=16068387). Both sides were very low on hics, thus we had
primaries warping off on both sides. At that time, the HBC, NC. and Nulli Secunda were called, even Black Legion wanted to come. Probably intended to say
“Thanks” for the K3J hellcamp? Oh and titan kills!
Since our supers always managed to warp off before they die, we decided to go for dreads since they are the main damage source in heavy TiDied lowsec systems.
CFC did a fundamental mistake with jumping titans into lowsec, as they are very vulnerable and do less damage than a Dread or Supercarrier (I know that feel bro). Dreads were going down, BL. Dread fleet (50?) and N3 super fleet jumped in. Mad props go to DnD here, they decided to help tackle CFC supers for us and brought constant waves of hics during the entire fight, they’ve probably lost a few dozen of them, if not more. As soon as We had tackle ready, we decided to go for Bad Poison in a Ragnarok first (eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=16069454) thinking Laz would be in control of it, a good CFC FC.
It went down quite well. The CFC started to struggle, telling all titans to get safe and primarying carriers from A-Z. A bunch of our Carriers died as we decided to go on Dreads again. TiDi was at 10% constantly, Local up to 2800. The next on our list was Dabigredboat’s Leviathan Oleena Natiras (eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=16070144) that was supposed to be black screened. We also had it tackled all the time. As soon as it was down, CFC started to pull supers out of the system too. Local continued to go up, a lot of TESTies awaiting their first titan kill. Directly following Dabigredboat’s titan, we also decided to kill his Nyx (eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=16069868) and the supers that were still left. Multiple crashed titans/supers were reported on savespots and planets. CFC was able to bail out most of them with their Maelstrom fleet except this RZR titan that BL. went for (eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=16071218). We started to clean up and killed all the carriers and dreads that were still on the field.
In the end I have to say that organizing all this went pretty well. Hedliner and Elise took the fleet over for me as soon as we went in and others were in contact with all the other entities that appeared in the fight, calling targets to them and coordinating reps.
The total numbers
Killed: 3 Titans, 6 Supers, 44 Dreads, 29 Carriers
Lost: 1 Super, 4 Dreads, 8 Carriers
some numbers might not be exactly accurate, some might be missing even.

Here is the BattleSheet of which I was asked to do for this huge battle.
Here are some videos I was given throughout the day with ingame footage and the like.
