Also, for everybody’s pleasure, he has been recording it.
Quickly arranging the necessary midpoints, and judging that the campers would not see it coming, they sorted out the final cyno with Black Legion’s help and went to town with their fleet of Dreadnoughts.
Here is DBRB’s recording of the station camp. Fast forward to 01:23:00, when you will see Black Legion pilot Friendly Uncle undocking an Abaddon and getting the Goon carriers to aggro it, and cynoing in the Dreadnought fleet.
The Dreads sieged and started to scrap Goon carriers, while DBRB quickly asked for capital and supercapital help. Fortunately for them, the response was quite fast and organized.
Eventually, nine Goon carriers had been turned to scrap by the attackers, and curiously enough another one was doomsdayed by Goon friendly fire, but with 12 Titans and 23 Supercarriers now in the field, the attacking fleet lost 17 Dreadnoughts, according to this battle report:
In the confusion, several Black Legion pilots tried to leave the camped station in a Zealot fleet, losing 8 of them in the process, and the surviving attacking fleet left the field once the siege cycle was over.
While the final ISK balance was not on the attacker’s side, they did enjoy the operation, GFs were given and DBRB complimented the attackers for pulling this stunt.
Here is a video of the fight thanks to Zeerover:
