A Fidelas Constans, Get Off Oy lawn and SpaceMonkey’s Alliance fleet, heavy on Tier 3 battlecruisers and recon support, was destroyed by a Verge of Collapse T3 fleet in W-4FA9 (Branch).
Verge of Collapse, who (you will remember) won the last Alliance Tournament, scouted LAWN’s Oracle fleet (which was 50Km from a gate and with bubbles set up) in the system owned by Fidelas Constans, and decided to jump on them despite being aware of the 50-60 hostile pilots docked.
Once they engaged, FCON and SMA jumped in range as well, making it a 34
against 110
with the following results:
According to the battle report, Verge of Collapsed suffered 7 losses (3 ships and 4 capsules) while the combined forces of Fidelas Constans, Get Off Oy lawn and SpaceMonkey’s Alliance saw 91 of their ships and 22 capsules destroyed. The final ISK results are partially padded by the price of the T3 ships which form the core of [CRIT]‘s doctrine.
According to Verge of Collapse’s WarGod, SMA was very close to downing several of their Guardians, but their expensive fits (700 to 800 million per hull) might have been a deciding factor in the outcome. For the Guardians themselves it definitely was, as none was destroyed, thanks also to the quickness with which the E-war against them was disposed of.
WarGod also mentioned a few mistakes from their side. Namely, bringing that Curse, one of the Lokis (which apparently asked on Team Speak but didn’t broadcast for reps) and the fleet bonus ship which was allegedly left on the gate instead of a safe spot.

If VoC had brought a POS the CFC boys would have fucked them up.
because cfc is good at shooting structures
Yeah after they have sacrificed 500 goon grunts/pets to the case
DBRB would have personally shown up just to rant about loving to bash structures.
Why the fuck would we bring a pos?
think you missed the joke
It was a pretty good joke, a shame you're retarded.
agreed, not gonna lie didn't see the joke sorry guyz!!!!
It was a very good joke, because the CFC are great at shooting structures, lol
It was a joke, obviously a poor one – I'm sorry.
It was a great joke man:)…even tho I am with CFC.:D
It was a joke, a great one, it just went right over your head whats funny about is CFC pilots by.and large think shootimg structures is PvP, more often then not if you roam CFC space they won't undock, if they do they will only do so if they have three or four times you numbers. My last roam in CFC space was 5 dudes in t1 crusers, and they litterlly droped 40 dudes on us, the time before that we had about 15 BC's, and they droped 120 dudes on us, o/c both times we were nano, and they didn't manage to get one kill. But this is by and large how things go down in CFC space, they are cowards, and won't fight you unless they have three or four times your numbers. I have old corp mates thats are CFC, and when you ask them why they don't fight, they say more often then not that they didn't have an FC, for a coalition of 40k they sure have a shortage of FC's, considering my corp of 80 dudes has 15-20 guys that will step up and FC
Ha Ha Ha… Cowards? Bringing 2-3 times the numbers is the way things go in real life too… so stop the blablabla and tralala and understand it… the duels and 1v1s are long gone.
Lies and Justifications.
Hahaha. Hillarious comment.
Good fight VOC.
JOKE OF THE WEEK ( may i have your babies?)
yet they didnt and got absolutely shit on
Is the author Darius III or another Darius?
I am another Darius. One pretty interested in EvE politics, but not involved personally in any major power blocks.
so basically your a highsec scrub who cant cut it in 0.0
Yeah that "highsec scrub" prefers to follow his own path, do things on his own, and not need a FC to tell him to orbit and press F1 while hiding behind a sea of blues
I thought highsec was full of null alts?
No hes one of the few people left in highsec who are still interested in your little circlejerk of a dull-ass ratters circus.
Since you seem to be CFC, this whole article must make you mad, so I guess the best course of action for you is to take it out on someone who wont shoot back. Heck, Darius up there is prolly the only threat to you in game that can't blap your fleets. Don't let your tiny balls catch in the rapidly closing door on the way out of null, theres a good Goonie.
Keep it that way. More interesting to read things from a different vieuw
Darius JOHNSON
The CFC pilots were probably just distracted by the tasty asteroids in that system.
Nope we were still looting from the battle in K-8, which isn't mentioned here.
I see — you were still looting mining modules so that you could violence the tasty asteroids on that system.
Again it just shows how fucking terrible these CFC alliances are, when they try to do stuff individually during peace time because basically there is fuck all else for them to do they just completely fail at the pvp basics
Space monkeys declared war on venal residents and are getting ripped to shreds.
everyone is terrible, especially you.
Leave it to these guys to show up in overpriced, overpowered ships and cash in on the KB. GSF needs to hire these guys so they have someone capable of sub-capping on PL's terms when the pain begins.
Has less to do with T3's being OP and more to do with the pilots being Pro. (usually)
Also, I doubt you could convince them to stop shooting you long enough to sit at the negotiating table.
Take a look at the post real carefully. Never doubted the pilots had skill. I've fought these guys personally more than once. Compared to their foes, the ships are overpriced and they DO overpower their t1 and t2 counterparts….
Do i smell… An e-honour comment brewing?
Compared to their foes, the CFC fleet brought three times as many pilots…Keep talking
Omg, 3 guys in Condors lost to a tengu !!!
The losers…
This is pretty much the 3 times more pilots.
I also see a lot of oracles/nagas/nados/canes on the battlereport, and lets not forget that with only 3 kills, half the CFC numbers probably arent even on the battlereport.
Yeah it was more like 35 vs 140ish
Trust me . . . wormhole alliances couldn't care less which fat bears own 0.0 . . . they are all apt to gorge upon the Sanctum and hubs then when full and groggy with sleep and contentment make juicy targets.
Care? lol I never said they'd -care-
Lessee – fights. isk. fights… and… isk… and… isk… and fights…
Hmm. If they don't care about fights or isk – QUIT.
Yeaaaaa . . . sov fights. Exciting.
Yeah – all nullsec fights during sov war are sov grinding. Yep. No other fights to be had….
Erm, their is a whole lot more isk in wormholes, and a whole lot more fights too so what are you even on about?
oh man please teach us all how to PVE against sleeeeeeeeepers. is it true that there's no local?!? OMG how do you guys survive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They are the elite, the true elite in EvE…this is why you don't see them.
I have ended up facing that VOC fleet twice and they are really good, what is funny is that those CFC alliances actually did worse than IRC, which is quite amusing…
Actually IRC did not do better, lost two thirds what the CFC did but only killed 2 VOC. My bad
Why surprising? The biggist difference between CFC and IRC is the leadership quality and thus the blob size!
SMA should lockdown their space.
Wasn't this in FCON space?
800 mil guardian? how the fuck you even do that?
Deadspace hardners like any true boss. I understand it is kinda hard to understand that fits exist outside of your alliances SRP accepted fits . . . but they do mah son . . . they do.
Scar, We need you to pipe down. Not because you're wrong, but because eventually the CFC might "get it". CFC doctrine ships are our bread and butter. They pay for our sabers, they pay for our PLEX. The drop on a tier-3 BC is close to 40m, and I'd rather not lose the laughably easy kills and constant income that they provide to us.
Thank you for your consideration and understanding.
Lithia,
The CFC has very deliberately gone for a policy based around being able to throw massive numbers of pilots at an objective – for example, last night, BL. threw ~60 pilots in ~60bn worth of ships at an objective. CFC threw about 550 pilots in ~100bn of ships at the same objective. BL. backed down.
If the CFC undocked to fight VoC/BL./whoever gangs in ~400m ships, we'd still lose more than half the time – and our average loss per fight would be greater.
That said, welping the occasional 100 man HD gang in ~1.5b worth of ships is something that less than a days worth of ratting taxes in Branch covers, so this kind of occasional predation doesnt threaten the CFC at all (a quick check on Dotlan will show there are several systems that create ~1bn a day in ratting taxes).
I might agree, but I don't think you fully understand the damage a guerrilla does. Currently, we want you to rat, we want you rich, because we want our targets to be as fat as possible when we kill them. The moment an alliance sponsors a guerrilla team, we're all in trouble. The empire ceases to exist. Null becomes dangerous again. Badops is a shining example of just how badly Goons understand guerrilla ops.
Lithia,
Not at all.
Fundamentally, nullsec entities get their income from three sources – ratting taxes, moon minerals and PI taxes.
If an area is being predated on, sensible people eother (a) start ratting in groups, in semi-PvP ships, meaning solo ganking doesnt work, and the guerillas need to concentrate to defeat them, making things less efficient, (b) start watching local and intel channels and docking up, or (c) start ratting in more defensible areas (ie pipes).
Stupid people lose shiny ships, yes … but those ratting machariels were never going on PvP ops anyway.
TLDR : Fields and Farms isnt here. Kill the moons, not the ratters.
Like Andres has said a lot of those really expensive ratting ships are flown by people who never join fleets. As for the fleet fit ships the pilots will generally have 4 bil or whatever and could afford more than a dozen maelstroms before they run out. Even then they don't lose any money on fleet ships.
If you wanted to be effective you would need to shut down a lot of ratting systems at the same time whilst having bubble camps on multiple systems for more than 12 hours a day. Even then the CFC alliances would still be able to pay out endless fleet re-imbursements because of the sheer number of moons they own. Still, if you can gather together a few hundred pilots like PIZZA has then you certainly could do damage.
If you mattered that much they would start looking at ways to fix the problem. Not saying that there's anything wrong with what you do. It seems like a fun and cool way to play the game although ultimately it isn't having an effect on the CFC war machine.
You know I wish people like you did actually impact big alliances. But I think you might be getting ahead of yourself or at least not understanding the CFC leadership's perspective. For something like the CFC, as an organisation, losing a bunch of ships to a cloaky sabre+falcon alts or whatever just doesn't matter. The thing that's far more important to them is getting their pilots into the right ships with the right fits.
Most CFC players are very casual and if you let them do whatever they like then you'll end up with fits vomited out from whatever people had in their hangars at the time. What matters to the leadership is having easily re-imbursable, standardised doctrines for fights between 150+ people.
The CFC often having outdated doctrines and sub-par FC's is another issue and on that one I'd agree that they need to do a lot of work.
I don't think you quite grasp what he's stating. His argument seems to be that these kills provide easy income for him.
I don't see any statement as to whether it effects the member's alliance strength or integrity. I'd recommend not having such a knee-jerk reaction to such statements.
YOU DONT
TALK BACK
TO VOC
for an instance I thought you are an ex -A- member or something. Same style.
How long is an instance?
Depends if heroic mode or not.
Also depends how good the tank is.
Lets not forget TiDi
There is no voodoo here.
As one of the Guardian pilots for the VOC fleet, I have to give props to FCON/LAWN/SMA for bringing the fun (though it took you guys a while to finally muster up the courage I guess).
Lokis were being alphaed into 30% armor—I think I almost burnt out my heart it was overheated for so long. A very tense, nightmarishly fun logi experience. XD
Btw, I think some VoC members still owe me money after all the betting on how many Guardians would die.
Although I missed that fight, thats pretty much my view as well.
These sort of battles are usually on a knife edge of massacre, for one side or the other
And sorry I blueballed your roaming gang a couple of days ago, but Im not inclined to fight you at 3:2, with us in T1, and I wont take T2 stuff out on home defense.
Between VoC and BL., we're certainly playing with people who know what they're doing. Its great
And yet I see 2 daminations therefore bonus for the win I bet CFC even primaried one during the fight
Another flawless example of cfc incompitance. Cfc pets will be jumping ship faster than their obese podgey hands can eat the whole Christmas dinner when their time comes to face equal numbers on equal terms. Lets face it cfc are made up of Eve's ratters and rejects from lost wars and eve alliance winning side jumpers. Only the same will happen again here, however the I WIN side jumpers I'd exterminate every existing alliance but a few. Make them rebuild and forge their own path to make something of themselves for a rare change!
ya ya, make a few battles, looks like everything is fine .. but dont you dare to conquer space, thats forbidden, means you have to ask test goon .. da big brother … what you guys do, is ridiculous. You are all little stinky puppets of test and goon, keep on dreaming of a free will
THAT TENGU WAS SHIELD XDDDDDDDDDDD
Next CFC move will be:
day 1:
dont undock without fc
day 2:
dont fight voc
day 3:
dont undock without 1/3 blackbirds
day 4:
dont pvp unless leadership tells you to
day 5:
defend poses and moons only
day 6:
oh shit look at the killboard again
Day 7:
Call to arms to win against 4 man FW gang. Smug post about it all day.
Day 8 : what was this shit about?
Given that this fight was quite a while ago I'm not sure your predictions came true
Why should they not undock? By the time the CFC ran for their lives, VOC was probably safely back in their batmobile (hole)
You see wormhole alliances are like batmans, pops up anywhere in the galaxy and shoot you before you know whats happening. Then moments later they're vanished in thin air. So after your done complaining about ship replacement, you hear they appeared again unreachable in the other side of the galaxy and russians bitching about being shot at ninja style
The SMA fleet did well to keep at range and was able to kill a couple of t3s. Came very close to alpha'ing logi too. The other fleets kinda buffet lined.
Even CVA wins battles over spacemonkeys and GOML
honestly spoken you guys do only what you are allowed to do. Test goon will not give their ok, if you start sov grinding, hence your so called … battles are worthless, because its only within the scope, what you are permitted to do, like house pets. You guys suxxx terribly
If you dont have whelpcanes and Lord rahvin your fucked indeed yes yes
I was enjoying instapoping the tengu's, but we only got to the 3rd broadcast target before the bubble came up & the bombers came in. Afterwards, we sat down & basically analized what happened & how we could have done better. This is what happends when you fight a better opponent. It was fun regardless of the outcome. Losing a Tornado is not a big deal compared to forming up, traveling & it all being over in less then 5 minutes.
you can bent and twist it all you want. But VoC people are just pro, and stomped all these guys into the ground dispite being outnumbered almost 4-1.
Mad respect for such skill.
So,
real/good/brave pvpers raped a bunch of baddies blobbers, that (most of times) can win only because of numbers.
ill just post this here
forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts…
Verge of collapse are a bunch of nice loot pinatas. Much love for those guardians …
Best rats in the game.
