Circle-of-two have found themselves stripped of a few capital ships yesterday, when a POS bashing operation ended up badly for them.

Elo Knight, the man who makes the most of the space for titles in character profiles, and also a mean FC behind a Loki-heavy fleet, lead Black Legion to an incontestable victory, with 125 kills and only 7 losses according to this battle report.

According to our sources, a cyno was eventually lit by RAZOR, who bridged in a Maelstrom fleet that did not manage to change the outcome of the battle. Curiously enough, most of the Maelstroms themselves managed to get away relatively unscathed (only one killed out of 38 fielded, including ex-CSM member Vuk Lau’s), but other subcapitals were not as lucky. Specially Logistics ships, none of which survived.

Circle-of-two ended up losing 12 capital ships, and Razor a Thanatos, for a grand total of 45 billion ISK destroyed.

Black Legion. lost 3 Heavy Interdictors, a couple of Hurricanes and a cyno-Magnate, with a total combined value of 1 billion.

Definitely not much room for interpretation.

There are reports of “we didn’t want those capitals anyway” and “well, we did have fun” in Circle-of-two’s Teamspeak, and definitely quite a lot of love for Elo Knight from his side.

Having flown in Elo's fleets (while now standing on the opposite side to BL) I have great respect to both BL and Elo.

    Good fights, definitely.

Incidentally, I've also flown quite a lot with Co2 and I feel pity over how this awesome group deteriorated over the years. Their superior performance in AT7 earned them a lot of respect, which was then slowly lost: first they were humiliated in Impass and then they merged into the big blue blob of the North.

The last time I saw that previously great groups of pilots, they were line members of a horribly unorganized Drake army in Tribute. That group of true veteran soldiers were thrown into the idiot horde with the likes of Razor and FA. I can't imagine how those brave, skilled pilots felt as they pulled the heavy NC. boot from each others' serbian asses fight after fight.

o7 A salute to the memory of elite pvp.

I can't help but wonder when the CFC's FC's will come to realize that alphafleet is a really bad counter to loki's/ahacs in general. Maybe a year or so?

        1. they tend to do that when you're webbed by 20+ huginns yeah, but its more of a warpin game, the fleet which gets the best warp in and the enemy bubbled first wins
example if the mael fleet warps in on a 100 to the ahac fleet and manages to bubbles them there isnt much the ahac fleet can do at that point. on the other hand if the ahac fleet warps to 0 on the mael fleet the maels tend to die quiet quickly

An Ahac fleet can just kill tackle and leave the field to get another warp in. Alpha fleets can't say the same.

Being an ex-BL dude (RL got in the way of time I can dedicate to participation), I can assure you around Thanksgiving right before 'Because of Falcon' NC. used the same excuse in U.S. timezone. "It's Thanksgiving and our US pilots are gone… etc… etc…"

Elo doesn't win fights by himself, that's ridiculous. He does bring confidence, experience and a great attitude. This is why people flock to his fleets. He's fun to fly with… end of story.

            December 31, 2012 at 7:29 pm
          5. BntyHunter

I totally agree about Elo, dude is very fun to fly with.

Also to guys talking about Falcon…There was wrongs on both sides. In the End though it really was about a boiling point that Vince+Wick had going for 3+ years…..Alot of unresolved issues.

I like how Elo stuck by his guys, I like how Wick gets a new group to be with and I miss BL but in the end im glad they can kick ass elsewhere. I dont take pleasure fighting the guys, I bled with, I really liked BL guys.

Falcon was more complicated than most say, but it could have been resolved and TBH I [NCDOT] would have just swallowed my pride and apologized, wick would still have left as she has intense flings with dudes, but we could still be flying together.

… So you have no idea what actually happened. Please allow me to educate you on the specific situation that occured, as well as a little bit of context to why we were there in the first place.

          Context:
When we moved to venal for fights, we started fighting the CFC/nc.dot, or anyone we could find out around 0200 eve time every night. This was around when the CFC decided they were going to take Tenal, and then the Venal moons. As nc.dot wasn't an adequate target for us (they would dodge us in fleet fights, and their grunts didn't really make cash the way conventional 0.0 grunts do, so they were worthless in regards to random ganking) we were mostly hitting CFC aligned targets. Around this time we started getting friendly with some of the nc.dot guys from the few times they did engage us, and found them to be an ally of opportunity when fighting extremely large CFC fleets. Elo and Mfume worked out a deal to get paid fighting for them, and to hinder CFC's campaign in venal (which we were going to do anyways cause it generally leads to great fights.) This was when we started getting more buddy buddy with wicked and soho, and some promises were made by Elo that we'd help them out. Now BL sticks by their allies when promises are made. We don't try to go out of our way to fuck people who help us, even though we do have our fair amount of trolls. So when the mighty Eurocoward Vince made the NIP agreement, we kept doing our thing even though it meant getting screwed out of a lot of good fights. We were still very friendly with USTZ elements in nc.dot though, and wicked and soho had a bit of pull. When the CFC pointed themselves at NC.dot, we of course were going to help.

          Because of Falcon:
Vince apparently had a falcon alt that was in PL. A little back story on this, NC.dot basically stayed blue with PL after the NC/DRF war because it meant that both sides could use their supers with relative impunity, and never really risk them. As such, NC.dot would rub PL's back a bit in ways that I don't really feel like explaining, and PL would reciprocate. Now BL is not blue to PL, and we've always had a love/love relationship with them (Love flying with jeffraiding, love making fun of shadoo/grath.) So when some of our members are doing random stuff in system, and a PL falcon comes uncloaked off the station, it's not surprising that our members would engage it. We have always been very clear that unless you have a specific understanding with us for an op or campaign, and you are not blue, you are fair game. The falcon alt starts throwing around threats, and NC.dot starts to defend it so our members start brawling, and the Falcon gets away. We then discover that the falcon alt is actually Vince, carrying a BPO (apparently he wanted to be like Oldma.) He starts threatening our leadership, and wicked steps up and tells him he needs to calm down. This is when Vince starts a coup. He withdraws all of NC.dots funds into a private wallet, then kicks roles from wicked who was the co-director and puts them back (into what is now for all purposes, a private wallet since no one else has roles to access it.) We decide that now with the ustz components of nc.dot that we actually liked being thrown to the curb, and our directorship being threatened by Vince, we'd take our leave as well. We didn't spread rumors about what happened, and we tried to stay relatively neutral about it. We just packed up our carriers and in 15 minutes, were home.

So let me summarize what happened. PL char(vince) went phsycho, came at muhadin, Vince executed a coup, so we took our shit and left. We were helping NC.dot because we wanted to, vince changed that. His actions had consequences.

You missed the part where Muhadin was told repeatedly whose alt is was prior to him shooting it. He didn't care.

The killboard shows a list of Loki pilots with logi support, dictors and some other support. They are also the true heroes of this fight – the fleet. Well done
