Roughly two months after the plans of Ev0ke to transfer all their sov in Vale of the Silent to Goonswarm federation for the hefty sum of 250 billion ISK, things are not looking sweet for the German-speaking alliance.
With no major allies, no clear objectives for the immediate future and living in NPC space, the bleeding of corps and members keeps on: down to less than 1.400 members and 16 corps, and biding their time between Outer Ring and Syndicate (not the classiest neighbourhoods out there, to say the least), their fate now seems more uncertain than ever.
According to those Ev0ke pilots that talked to us, most pilots from Ewoks (training alliance for Ev0ke) left the area as well, and the core of the alliance is trying to retain active PvPers from the entities packing their things and looking for greener pastures. While there are claims of members being more or less satisfied with the current situation around Syndicate, we wonder whether the status quo will affect their possibilities of bringing in new blood, which every alliance with ambition eventually needs.
In between claims of being sick of sov structure grinding (although removing POSes and other structures from local residents was the first thing they did), they lost some “key” Fleet commanders (like Chronos or Raist Varis), and the efforts to fill the gaps have not always been successful.
Judging by Eve-kill stats, their killboard efficiency has also gone down the drain, barely over 50% since they retreated from Vale. Probably because they are are currently enjoying the kind attentions of Syndicate local residents, including by the way a Goon detachment.
We wonder if Ev0ke will rise once again from this “back to basics” status they are enduring today. It is to be seen if they will be able to retain a relevant number of pilots and corporations to, in due time, try to conquer a piece of space to call their own.
Ev0ke side of the story
After approaching our Ev0ke friends, we got their version of the current situation:
We moved to syndicate to get rid of the “sov-grinding-structure-shooting-F1-drone-no-fight-without-main-fc” shit. Most of Corps agreed, except Cataclysm Enterprises and some smaler corps, mostly ewoks origin. We had some bad times as most of us were not able to command a fleet – but they tried – and mostly hardly failed Others didn’t had the balls to command, as you were told to be an idiot if you loose fights So the first weeks were very boring in Syndicate.
Only some “We-don’t-have-balls” Gatecamps were made and we had some few smallscale stuf – beside the f1-drone stuff to remove structures in our nearby systems. But then there was Goonswarm… With a “single squad” like they said… Of Course we have intel from theire forums yelling at People “This is a call to everyone in the CFC to bring your people to FD- to shot ev0ke” – We were stuck at the station while Triage-Carrier and HIC’s camping us with just 4 accounts and we are absolutly unable to do something against them. They docked everytime again and we couldn’t get them down if they don’t fell asleep.
The GIS (Gemeinschaft Interstellarer Söldner) moved from FD- back to Oulley in low-sec to be able to fight, but some corps felt like they are backstabbing us – so they got mad and left. The Goons @EveGer Forums telling “Ev0ke is disbanding” and “We are doin the last shot to kill Ev0ke” has done some more to our unexpirienced pilots. So currently we have lost some good pilots.
Beside Chronos and Raist Varis – our former main fc’s – we didn’t lost any person we will miss in the future. Of course you need every pilot you can get to fight a bunch of goons, but currently every player still in Ev0ke likes the situation we have and most of them will stay with us, at least the next months.
