Lets start this weeks wrap up with a big Merry XMAS from the EVE Bet team to all our users. The holidays are here and its time for good food, lots of drinks and some awesome end of year sports events to bet on!
In past week we had some big pools go off where users took home some nice ISK! The EPL saw the biggest match with Aston Villa beating Liverpool as the top pool on EVE Bet for the week. Aston Villa betters took home a tidy 6.48 odds by the time betting closed, as everyone expected Liverpool to take care of business. The second biggest game for the week was the big 49′ers versus Patriots in the NFL. By the time betting closed, the Patriots pool was massive leaving 49′ers betters very happy with 5.1 odds on their winning bets!
Also this week EVE Bet saw its 250th user register! Its been a month since release and the betting community is getting stronger week by week. Our NFL and EPL matches are seeing solid action every week leading to some great pools and odds for you the betters! We thank all our users who have joined us early on in what we hope to be long term mainstay of the EVE community.

NFL Week 16 is here in the pre XMAS games. The NFC conference will see 2nd and 5th square off as the 49′ers travel to Seattle. AFC division leaders, the Texans, are going up against the Minnesota Vikings in another great game for the week. Check out the link above for all the matches in a big week for NFL fans.
In the Premier League this weekend, Manchester United look to extend their lead at the top, as they take on Swansea City who are looking to bounce back after dropping a 1-0 result against Tottenham last weekend. In whats shaping up to be one of the closest pools this week, West Bromwich will go up against Norwich in a match to see who can push their way towards the top 3 on the table. Finally, our biggest pool for the upcoming EPL weekend, sees Liverpool and Fulham face off in a cracker of a match up.
Now, even though this isn’t this weekend, the UFC’s end of year blockbuster card UFC 155 is hotting up already on EVE Bet. The main event with champion Junior Dos Santos, and contender Cain Velasquez, holds the number 1 pool currently on EVE Bet. Get your bets in now as all the main cards fights are showing strong action. As of right now there’s some really good odds to be had on Jim Miller and Tim Boetsch, who are both actually favored in their respective matches, but early betting indicates users going for their more exciting, flashy counterparts.

It's a great way to make some easy money. Go look up the odds offered by some commercial betting service (which are base on statistical models) and then bet to correct eve-bet's deviations from these odds (you have to wait until the last minute with making your bets ofc).
e.g. I had a look at the English Premier League on eve-bet some time ago and while the bets on winner/loser did roughly resemble the probabilities as implied by the bwin odds the probability of a draw was *massively* underestimated on eve-bet for almost every single match.

Any plans to introduce motorsport? I'm not a big fan of kicking a leather ball up and down a field but I do like to see lumps of metal going round and round repeated in a circle.
