In the wee hours of the morning on December 1st, a coalition consisting of The Shaft Workers Union, Spaceships in Space, Enigma Project and others were trolling their way through Ihakana in an attempt to draw out a fight with BLOMI, High Flyers Elite and some members of Verge of Collapse.
The Shaft Workers and Spaceships in Space fleet baited for an hour using a battleship fleet supported by an Archon and several smaller ships snagging only a Tengu in the process.
The Shaft Workers fleet began to lose pilots due to boredom and were just about to leave the field when a neutral Thanatos cyno’d into the system off grid from any celestial. Obvious trap always being obvious, the Shaft Workers fleet commander ordered the battleships and Archon onto the field with the Thanny.
Immediately the NC DOT Thanatos dropped a second Cyno and was joined by a Loki doing the same. This allowed NC. to stream in seven additional carriers and a small shield support fleet. Chaos erupted on both sets of comms as NC. attempted to gain tackle and Shaft Workers prepared for retreat. However, much to the saving grace of Shaft Workers Union and friends, the NC. fleet was slow cat fit and their sub-capitals were set up for tackle/skirmish, not for full on brawl. Meanwhile Shaft Workers had fielded a Megathron/Abaddon fleet supported by Triage Carriers (bringing their second carrier onto field once some semblance order was established) along with a lone hero Oneiros.
NC. quickly put the word out for additional support realizing that they were not equipped to handle triage carriers and Shaft Workers, presuming that the fight would escalate beyond their control, settled in to do as much damage as they could. The first minutes of the fight were dismal for both sides, neither quite knowing what to expect from the other. Then, the NC DOT FC went down.
Mafia Matt (an NC. carrier pilot) assumed control of the NC. fleet and they began to put their neuting pressure onto the second Shaft Workers Archon that was on the field. These carriers held and Shaft Workers Union began to cut through the NC. support fleet.
It was at this time (and much to the dismay of both fleets that were locked in a good fight) that BLOMI, High Flyers Elite and Verge of Collapse decided to show up and try to tag some kill mails, in the process ruining the battle report and losing most of their ships.
The skirmish raged over the next 15 minutes, during which NC. tried their hardest break the cross triage tank. As the last of NC.’s sub-capitals went down, Shaft began to turn their attention to NC.’s eight carriers looking to smash through their spider tank with neuts and raw DPS.
Finally, NC. cyno’d in further help, fielding an additional 10 carriers. Under this pressure and realizing that they were now playing in the big boy’s yard without the big boy’s toys, Shaft Workers decided that it was past their bedtime. The Shaft Workers refit their Archons as the battle raged around them, for stabilizers, and warped from the field along with most of the battleship support fleet.
By the time all was said and done, NC DOT had fielded 18 mixed carriers along with over 20 supporting sub-capitals while the Shaft Workers mixed fleet consisted of two Archons, 13 battleships and several other support ships.
The Shaft Workers fleet destroyed about 1.2b of NC ships, while NC managed to destroy two of Shaft Workers battleships worth about 400m that were left behind when they beat the retreat.
Additionally both NC and/or Shaft Workers had destroyed between 2-3b worth of random ships that had shown up at some point before or during the fight.
Good times were had by both sides and we would like to pay special compliments to NC. for a solid battle, this was the first time we were able to put our carriers to the test in an all out fight and we learned a lot in the process! We look forward to more good fights in the future.
Overheard on NC DOT Comms at the end of the fight:
“These guys are sore losers…”
“They didn’t lose.”
“They did a lot better than we expected them to.”

You don't seen to notice that the beginning on the video is from NC.
NC. brought a blob of carriers larger the same size as their sub caps.. It was 1:1 for NC. And we still engaged outnumbered.

Fail…
Wow really? Stop dating yourself and pay attention. NCDOT dropped double what shaft workers had on field. So congrats to Shaft workers for having the balls to go up against a larger force and sticking it to them.
Learn to read. He is saying shaft had balls for engaging outnumbered.
What an idiot….GJ sir. U KANOT REED
"I need reps"
I cringe every time I hear that, especially when they don't broadcast.
nice job
"Just come back and shoot s***."
A foolproof plan, should work every time.
In all honesty though, enjoyed the video! Raw sound & chatter, multi-perspective recordings, close-up camera, and the soft background music was quite enjoyable, don't see that often nowadays. Hope people do that a bit more instead of blasting "epic" music. R&K's is an exception though.
NEway, gf gf all around, that was an enjoyable battle.
why did the megA PILOT NOT SHOOT ANYTHING AND JUST SIT AT 0 MS WITH HIS MWD ON?
Sry M8 was dual boxing
uhhhhh one more fight, proof that everything is ok ;p .. damn i love this game, goons online
Dude no one understands you, try to phrase it differently prior to putting it in google translate.
goons online suxxx get it?
This was an awesome and epic fight, we took the bait out of pure boredom and had one hell of a night.
Below is the posted video from NC. side, we took some clips from their video.

Good fight all around guys. It was very exciting…

Ive seen better / more entertaining low sec hot drops.
The numbers of epic battles are decreasing, because of the goon test superiority in 0.0 there isnt much to fight left. 0.0 altered into a blue desert (almost everyone is blue to each other). The name of the game changed to Goons Test Online (not anymore eve online), nice that despite this changes in 0.0 we still have the one or another bigger battle. ccp should do something, to change this, it was never intended that 0.0 change into a kind of second empire.
Errr… Test? WTF are you talking about. Those nubes would only invade ten man alliances. As far as goons are concerned they are the same as the rest of EvE.
Yo, you should play n the chinese server some time. Scheduled PvP and all of nulsec is blue except for one alliance that chose to remain red. but they dont pvp or anything. No no, they schedule their fights in advance. Good stuff them chinese…
if you mean -A- is not fighting .. look at the kills Blobbiot http://eve-kill.net/?a=alliance_detail&all_id… you and your goon test guys stink
Decent fight, but shit comms. Wtf was that mega doing? Please tell me he was triple boxing or something…. there's only so many excuses.
sorry you must be a pro F1 warrior
High Flyers Elite sucks XD
Pathetic.
You still can find a lot of fights like this in low sec if your corp is set up for it.
Null sec bloc challengers, low sec hasslers, and WH conquerors; those Shaft boys really get around.
worse piloting and worse coms i've ever seen, such a "GOODfight"
