Eve News24 and eve-bet.com are proud to announce a new partnership! Every week we will be publishing an article giving you an insight into all the big match ups for the weekend!

Last weekend saw some amazing action across the world of sports. The Manchester United and Manchester City game was the biggest place for action on EVE Bet over the weekend. Lots of betters got in on this and the match itself lived up to the hype! In the UFC Benson Henderson showed the world why he’s the man at 155 in an dominating performance over contender Nate Diaz.

This week were bringing you all the best from the English Premier League, NFL Week 15, the weekend matches from the NBA plus the two cards from the UFC’s double header weekend. We got the UFC on FX Sotiropoulos vs. Pearson followed by The Ultimate Fighter Season 16 finale the next day where Roy “Big Country” Nelson fights Matt Mitrione

NFL Week 15

In the NFL we’ve got some big match ups where top teams from each conference will square off. Both 2nd in their respective conferences, the 49′ers travel to the New England Patriots in the big game of the week. To go with this we’ve got the Green Bay at Chicago, the Giants and Atlanta plus all the rest of the Week 15 action in the NFL.

English Premier League

In English Premier League we’ve got Everton continuing to try chase down Man City for second spot on table as they meet 9th place Stoke City. Tottenham and Swansea will battle it out in 5th vs 9th and Manchester United will try to keep their buffer at the the top of table when they host Sunderland at Old Trafford.

UFC on FX Sotiropoulos vs Pearson
Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale

The UFC this weekend will see two back to back events to wrap up The Ultimate Fighter Season 16 and the The Ultimate Fighter Australia. After their debut TUF in Australia we will have the coaches meet as George Sotiropoulos facse off against British striker Ross Pearson. In the co-main event, Middleweight beast Hector Lombard attempts to bounce back after a disappointing debut against Tim Boetsch back at UFC 149. This time he’s fighting the scariest submission fighter in the UFC, Rousimar Palhares who’ll be looking to take home another limb for his collection. In the TUF 16 finale we got Roy “Big Country” Nelson returning against up and comer Matt Mitrione. Both men have solid striking, but Nelson has the edge on the mat and is much more experienced whilst the former NFL player, Matt Mitrione, is very dynamic and athletic.

On top of the above we’ve got all the action from the NBA, NCAA Football and Basketball plus more! Make sure you head on over to http://www.eve-bet.com to get in biggest games for the weekend and dont forget to check back next Friday for more updates about the world of ISK betting!

    Roy Nelson Vs Matt Mitrone
Roy nelson in a 5 round fight might be something we all regret. Meathead is a very good athlete and will have the reach and cardio to push the pace with Roy. The question is if Roy can lamp meathead? Meathead has survived other strikers and training under duke rufus he is used to training against heavy hitters. I think a small bet on meathead could be a money maker.

Hector Lombard vs Rousimar (Toquinho) Palhares (Paul "tree stump" harris)
Hector had a pretty disappointing effort last time out, but I think that is due to Time Boetsch being very good and hector not dealing with the UFC jitters. Lombard is a world class judo player that should have the base and balance to keep it standing and use his power punching to take it to the tree stump. I expect a hector TKO but i wouldnt be shocked to see another knee hanging from the tree stump. A bet on hector via tko would be okay.

George Sotiropoulos (gsot) vs Ross Pearson.
This is close matchup between two underrated lightweights. Pearson is making his return to 155lbs for this fight after fighting at 145lbs for his last few fights. Pearson like to fight in the clinch using dirty boxing and greco-roman wrestling style. Gsot perfers to box at range using a functional jab and right cross combo. G-Sot is the better grappler and would have a slight advantage in wrestling. I think G-Sot gets this to the ground and takes a limb with him in doing so. I would put my isk on G-sot via sub.

I would avoid betting on some of the TUF undercard fighters as I feel there is too little history and tape to go on and the time since the fighter were in the house makes it hard to know who has been training where and how much they have improved.

Yea I think Mitrione has a better chance than people believe. Outside of a 1 punch KO Roy has generally struggled, particularly as the fight goes the distance

Hoping Hector lives up to his ability and bounces back

it's a really cool site, and since I can do it all in-game it just feels like a neat new addition to the game. Another thing I can deposit isk into for shits and gigs, and screw around while I mine placing bets on long shots

If you've got the disposable isk income I highly reccomend toying around there

    Eve-Bet:
    - I like it because there is some skill and knowledge involved in picking a winner (unlike Blink)
    - I like it because I can determine the size of my risk (sort of unlike Blink)
    - I hate it because I keep supporting my teams and losing (instead of dispassionately picking a likely winner). Upsetting.

Gotta say, unlike most 3rd party sites that are either shams or poorly designed, this eve bet site looks very professional. As more people get wind of this I think Somer Blink might have a bit of competition!
