The following e-mail was sent to us this last Friday, pretty much written as a barricade speech for Red Alliance members, anyhow read on and enjoy the scoop. I am currently re-organizing Eve News24 beyond recognition, so sorry for the recent gap in Eve Online coverage. I will make out for it.
The war on Solar Fleet continues, and this is a serious challenge not only for RED but for the whole coalition. SF is a strong, well organized alliance with formidable military and infrastructure. The fact that they give up sov without fighting for it brings nothing but disappointment.
In spite of this we have a reason to rejoice – few days ago with the effort of many pilots we have waved our flag on the bastions of the eternal capital of RED alliance – C-J6MT. This system not only has strategic value in the region, but is the historical symbol of RED.
In these last few months our alliance has undergone radical changes. Because of change in political course and diplomacy some people decided to part with us – but this isn’t the reason to worry – our member count has not lost even the tenth part. But the changes we are going through are not only and not so much of external nature. Now the members of RED strive to improvement – we are growing our infrastructure and honing our combat skills.
RED has always had a high SP count per capita. But, like many alliances with older management style, the previous management didn’t know how to use this advantage. Now in a very short time we were able to adopt some new doctrines and tactics. I don’t say that only the leaders are responsible for this achievement – because the strength of our alliance for almost 8 years of its existence was in The People. That we can learn and adapt is a merit to every of our members.
In the near future – I’m talking about the changes that are already being introduced – every pilot will get a role in the structure and the place in the fleet basing on the set of skills that are available in his character.
Among pilots with similar roles and skills will be established out-game communication channels where they can discuss all issues related to their roles. Basing on their experience and decisions, we will introduce changes to doctrines and tactics of our alliance. Because only communication and feedback can improve on the things that already exist.
We must give our members the ability to think for themselves, to be creative and inventive.
This way the usefulness that is given by a member to his organization returns to him hundredfold. That is why it should be a function of any modern alliance – to give each pilot the opportunity to shine. After all, despite the fact that the central authority based on the dictatorship can work and be effective, it is much better and longer lasting, however, to win and hold the hearts and minds of The People.The complete victory in war against Solar Fleet has not been achieved yet. Winter is coming – the usual season of heightened activity of eve pilots. RED alliance will have many more difficult fights and ordeals.
But if we all unite efforts to achieve a common goal – we will be able to overcome everything that will come on us.If you have any questions and comments on the current situation you can write them in this thread.
P.S. I will remind you, that every pilot of the alliance must have skills for the following ships: tengu for out tengu fleet and apocalypse or scorpion for our armor BS doctrine.
