Having been there done that ect, WV- engagement has been put under the microscope, FC flamed and tears dried, even so the following points were raised at the inquest.

Pilots that lost carriers had them insured, got paid out and while not happy did not loose.

Decision was made to explore the problem in depth with CCP on the grounds that this was a breach of terms of service, not the EULA.

CCP's intial stance was fuck off, pressure applied and it got kicked upstairs under a DDoS heading.

CCP obliged to act on those grounds as not only being and illegal action under UK laws but also a breah of Clause 16 of the terms of service so making it also a breach of the EULA.

Hence the slapped arse email from CCP.

Who did it when they did it and why is irrelevant CCP cannot afford to ignore it and so acted, no one is expecting them to reimburse any ships lost or reset any clock.

Expecting this one to run for a while yet though/

A couple of minutes were still left on the timer, so I imagine they were going to gamble holding reps until relief came and try to rep the csaa pos if the opportunity so arose. Not engaging NC. would have guaranteed the death of the tower. They lost that wager.

Feel free to keep telling yourself RZR is the same as Goons, but it may help your comprehension of events if you allow the possibility of that not being the case, and that not all in the CFC follow the same playbook. Shocking, I know.

Yeah CFC FCs have been warned for this this too.

But as is the case here, nothing was actually done by CCP about it before either.

Wrong. When convo spammed on an industrial scale, the client still tanks. It may not display those convo containers, but is still processing all those incoming packets. Ask any recipient of large scale convo spams, whether it was those RZR pilots, or the host of NC./Soco FCs before them.

And I have been in quite a number of NCDOT fleets and that was the first time I saw NCDOT use that.
