The shiniest ship in the Eve-Kill top banner right now is the Avatar Ev0ke just caught in Otsela, low sec The Forge region.
The Avatar belonged to Wigor, a recent ex-member of PsixoZZ KAHI’s corp (ex White Noie leader). Here is the exclusive lowdown:

We had a subcapfleet with some battleships up to kill a Medium Tower in lowsec Caldari Space. While we were forming, one of our scouts entered and spotted a open cyno.
He warped in his hero-Rapier to this cyno, it went down. After exiting warp, he saw a Leviathan driving into the Tower Force field it was almost in, so no chance to bump.
The scount didnt carried a cyno so he exited the system and switched to a Falcon with Cyno, entered again and saw another Cyno on the same position. After he lands, there was this shiny Avatar just jumped through. Hilarity ensued as the our scout panicked, and starts screaming on coms like a girl which was just losing his virginity.
Sub-caps where already on our Titan. The cyno goes up as the Avatar Titan was closing into the edge of the force field, after some seconds we got a nice bump by one of our Hellcats and having him wher we wanted, we jumped in some Supers to finish him off. Died like 50km off from the Force Field..
The Eve-Kill is filled with comments saying this was a failed Titan transfer or even worst a scam from Ev0ke behalf, I wish to dispel those rumors – this titan was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

In low sec its normal to set the pos to shoot anyone with less than 0.1 sec standing (meaning neutrals gets shot too). And why would he care if the tower shoots his titan a couple times, as long as you have the forcefield password and can get inside? Its not like it can tackle him anyway.
He is in an NPC corp, not player ran, standings potentially not set. Thought he was safe enough to tank the guns until in side of the shield.
Mr. Testy would do well to explain how this guy has killed stuff left and right with his titan for months?

And what type of stratagical purpose does a medium tower in low sec serve as to the need to blap it?
Strategic purpose might be as simple as to have a POS in The Forge region directly bordering at high-sec. JFs at Jita can jump easily to it, or when coming from 0.0, jump to Otsela and move it from there to Jita. It is also good for trading with caps and listing them on the regional market of The Forge.

The best thing in moving a Titan is to fekking jump it to a cyno in the mid of space and warp to a safe and cloak. And If you jumped the first Titan and a neut entered while cyno and Titan are still in the Same grid you freaking dont jump a second One in.

This is the tower they killed just a few jumps away. Look at the date and time and the pilots involved and compare it to the Titan kill. Easy.

If there was a trade going on, I bet there's some evidence for that. Evemail, sell orders forum posting, convo screenshot, darknesss/chribba request – something. Well, unless PsixoZZ managed to get hold of some time machine, no it was not a rage kick. Wigor left KAHI on 09.03.2012, so about 6 months ago. To me it looks like a sale gone wrong, meaning titan+char sale gone wrong. To transfer a char you need it to be in a NPC corp. A quick look in eve-search doesn't list any char transfer, but it could have been done off the books. Dunno, I guess we'll be left guessing.

Some facts for the tinfoil hatted conspiracy weavers:
- The victim has owned that titan for months (check his killboard)
- The tower that shot him was his own tower (check the corp details)
That means that if there was a scam, then it would have been evoke wanting to buy his titan, then him jumping it to his safe tower, evoke finding out where his safe tower is (5 jumps away from evoke staging system), and ganking him outside his own safe tower (while his own guns are shooting him). Possible, but implausible.
I'm still saying that those who say it was a scam, present the proof or gtfo. If you don't take screen caps or any other evidence before a super sale, you don't ~get~ Eve. Hell, you should use third party anyway. In any case you don't deserve to keep your titan.
