*Update* On those Pandemic Legion Heist Rumors

Since this past Friday, I have been receiving reports of a large heist performed inside Pandemic Legion:

PL just got heisted for around 500 bil ISK by -A- spy. The corp that was heisted was BDCI.

hey guys, there was a PL guy stealing apparently 500B in forms of assets (no isk) – Titans, Moongold, etc. The player name is [redacted], he joined -A- after his heist, maybe you can interview him.

Having no proof, I decided to sit on the story and wait until it started making some noise. Apart from the odd comments on Eve News24, K.com finally shed some more intel as the posters began spilling the beans this morning.

Rumour Round Up

Apparently Body Count Inc [BDCI] (Pandemic Legion) whose CEO happens to be CSM7 Chairman Seleene, had been stockpiling Super Capital hulls in preparation for the upcoming Technetium nerf. As the scope of the project grew up, the logistics responsibilities began to be delegated to newer (and less than loyal) members. One of these members took notice of the chance for a snatch and acted. The member ejected the super-capitals off the capital ship maintenance array and turned off the POS Force Field, there were several titan able pilots already waiting which hoped on the stolen Titan and went for a joyride.

Somehow this -A- spy managed to infiltrate this small group of player that even knew about this and got a -A- titan to cyno in a bunch of titan capable pods next-door to pick them up as he jettisoned them and turned of ff

Centra continued the thread:

The supercapital production was supposed to keep us in hulls and provide income after the tech nerf. Unfortunately as more and more logistics guys got burned out jumping back and forth, some of the newer logistics guys were brought in to keep the project going. We rely on individual corps to vet their players, but, once again, BDCI dropped the ball.

This is the second time BDCI has had a security breach in 6 months, so clearly their directorate is asleep at the wheel.

Well played -A-, but I wonder if we’ll ever see those Titans on the field.

So far the name I have been given seems to match the corporation history, but so far everybody have been tight-lipped about this.

We’ll see how accurate these rumors will turn out to be – remember it could all turn out to be hot air, so take this with a grain of salt and for the time being keep your eyes open.

I have received an email claiming confirmation from a third party which matches the intel I had. The heist had been pulled by Skrypt from BlackWater Inc:

    Well, I had heard 500 bil in assets, titans, moongoo, ships etc. Several titans were heisted. The titans were probably travel fit (it's how you usually store them) and if we take a conservative estimate that only about half of the heist worth was in titans, I would estimate about 4 titans, maybe 5 max. But I may be wrong, dunno. But the heist happened, for sure, and it took PL a while to discover it.

    This actually happened 4 months ago, skrypt took his corp funded titan with him when he left as well as a month of bdci's corp moon income. Thanks to centras plirc and kugu moves though its now an -A- agent victory. lmao

    Full confirmation of Skypt event. One titan, moon goo, ships, gear, ammo… shit loads of stuff. Much more to the story than what is public now. Yes, Skypt left PL 4 months ago, but we kept it tight until now. Generally we do spy work to win wars and not win on Kugu or EN24. This was not meant to get out. It did, so what… Copy and paste from a little help we needed to file through all the stuff we liberated. Yes, the helper got already paid.

    I couldn't find anyone in -A- who took titans from a PL CSAA. So this is probably just PL damage control buy deflection from the actual story. Nice how their spin machine works. Discredit the real news by coming up with what looks like an even more outlandish lie.

    I offered to speak at Eve Vegas about -A-, and also speak about the Skypt operation story at Eve Vegas, but got rejected because Eve Vegas has already a -A-speaker in Jyn who will talk about drunk FCing. I know priorities are a difficult thing…

    PL has lost its EVE nerd mojo, there was a time they would do similar theft without breaking a sweat, but its been a while since anyone saw their small gang on the field. Only thing which keeps them together is jabber ping and chance to wave their SC penis every 2 weeks.

    Boat is full of ISK holes and when greed and boredom steps in, poor PL is not really looking at the bright EVE future at all…

    PL got heisted by a -A- agent for about 500 bil (1 titan, moongoo, ships and a T2 BPO), the story was being kept under wraps for a while, now that it got out PL did a damage control spin by inventing a troll heist to divert the discussion onto the fake one.

    Did I get it right?

      Nor does -A- brag much about their operations. It is bad enough that they did it.

      So we may never get to read the full story.

      It was never under wraps, in fact we trolled the fuck out of bdci for letting it happen and posted several things on PL twitter about it. The 500 bill number was pulled from a centra spike twitter post :D

      I'm fine with -A- making this a morale spy op though, maybe it will make them feel like committing some spaceships for a change.

    i wanted to clear a few things up about the -a- spy stealing from PL

    he stole
    -1 Titan
    -about 100B in assets
    -300B in Technitium
    -forummirror with sensible fits for alliancetournament (used and unused) for example

    i don't know if he was a -a- spy all along, but i know that he was with -a- in contact for quiet awhile. they had something planned for him about 3-6 month ago but it didnt work out so they let him sleep. he was a logistical guy for Body Count and in charge of all their Techmoons (7 moons belong to Body Count i think). the plan was to push him into high leadership for the near future. i dont know the reason but something came up and he had to blow his cover and bailed out. the assets are still in the PL stations and will be bought off from -a-. the rest he keeps.
