Introducing TweetFleet.net (Beta) – A Radical Departure from EN24
TweetFleet.net is the newest addition to our chain of Eve Online websites, based off what we feel the #tweetfleet hashtag should be, we aim to provide a meaningful way for Eve Online players to share, discover and interact the vastness of Eve Online social networks.
EVE Online social networks comprise the different forums, micro-blogging websites and killboards which make the bulk of the EVE Offline experience. As with Eve News24, we aim to provide entertainment first and provide a insight afterwards – never missing the fact that Eve Online is a video game for grown-ups.
Aiming for a clean look. We wanted something different and never seen before on Eve Onlinem, a system which would allow readers to submit their own content, Eve Online currently lacks a truly crowd-sourced website besides the TEST controlled reddit forums – which I find nice to read but not as content-focused as I would like to.
Primaring Boredom with Gifs
If you have fleet up with or against me, you will notice how there is not shortage of 9gags, 4chans and fukung posts. Some FCs tend to cringe at this practice, other do understand how the pilots involved can easily succumb to boredom between engagements which translates to poor fleet participation. Whether it be travelling through the endless gates, grinding that PVE content or sitting on a Titan bridge, players tend to post funny content in fleet chat to counter the boredom. I find myself sometimes uploading the same image several times into imgur.com – and I wondered if there could be a place where players could archive the collective memory of fleet chats.
That’s why you will see “*.gif” content on tweetfleet.net – in my view *.gifs are the comic strips of our generation – highly viral, straightforward and fun to watch. That’s when I realized Eve Online needs a repository to highlight content to be shared in fleet.
Generation Kill
TweetFleet.net will also highlight notable killmails like this one with pertaining commentary.

Forum Insights, blurts and relevant quotes / comments will be highlighted too. Complex exchanges will get the treatment pioneered by us in this post inside Eve News24.
Gif Captioning Service
Submit an imgur gif image and we’ll caption it via photoshop, make sure to make it funny. While there are captioning services out there, moving gifs has to be done via photoshop, we want to help out players to produce meme-driven content.

Yeah, and fuck it! I was torn between tweetfleet.net or theriverini.com and surprised nobody had registered the domain. Is a nice sounding brand, semi-stablished and we’ll make good use of it – also the scandal the self-righteous divas will make outta it will be good advertisement.
