I just wanted to take a moment and thank the brave men and women of the Minmatar Militia for the not one, but TWO tier 5 warzone control pushes last night. After 2 hours of power-clicking through the ridiculous LP-store interface, aside from the carpal tunnel syndrome and a half-broken mouse, I’m now sitting on a frankly disturbing amount of ISK.
If Militia chat has taught me anything, its that you “real” FW folks seem to have nothing but loathing contempt for “gun-less” “afk-plexers” like my alt (see logs above), but this particular 320k SP alt just turned a week of plexing in the background of RL work into 18 billion isk.
To the FW bittervet who chastised me for “doing it wrong” and being “not into FW for the right reasons” I sincerely apologize; next time I’ll be sure to do it it your (much more jaded and hugely less profitable) way.
A little while ago, Ripard over at Jester’s Trek wrote a follow-up piece about faction warfare. To succinctly sum it up, “IQ Test” basically says, “if you aren’t taking advantage of this right now, you are truly dumb”; and he’s completely right. Nothing about the current state of the tier system mechanic is working well in any rational world. My alt has literally 16 hours of training time under his belt, and with the click of a button (ok, the many, many, oh-god-why-do-you-hate-me-so-much-many clicks), can turn a few hours of afk-circling stationary objects with no guns fitted into billions of iskies. It is post-future sci-fi alchemy in the most broken, mythical sense of the word, and if you aren’t on the lead-to-gold isk-printing bandwagon, for whatever bittervet, moral-superiority, or other reasons, you should change that, because you WILL be kicking yourself later.
Now, if we could push our way to tier 5 again sometime soon, that’d be great, because I still have more loyalty points than I know what to do with or even physically HOW to click my way through. Winmatar indeed.

God I love fw lp whoring will be sad when it get's fixed but for now it's the best way to make isk and either still do other RL stuff or PVP at same time. It's totally broken ofc lol but hey who really gives a shit about fw anyway? right? right? =)

FW farming Sounds too boring to me & I created a huge pile of ISK from Incursions & still enjoy the group "esprite de corp" feeling of fleeting against the Sansha… speedtanking FW complexes solo sounds too lonely an existance for me after Incursion running for year. Fromthe way you speak though FW farming sounds 3 times as profitable as Incursion running at the peak of the legion blitz fleets.
Maybe not as efective as the old VG blitz fleets, but still VERY profitable. I'd compare profits to VG blitz fleets of today now that I think about it.
And it's always nice to be able to get a good 1v1 fight every now and then in a minor site
There are no more VG blitz fleets to be honest. I'm hearing you guys aremaking ~20 billion ISK a month on FW farming if so that far outpasses thelegion blitz fleets of pre Escalation

A Titan a week in profits?!?! that has to be exaggerating quite a bit xD At the height of Incursions blitz fleeting it'd take you 3 months of legion/onie constant dual boxing to afford a Titan & you are saying it takes 1 week with an eight day old alt?
It depends on how many alts you are using and how long each day you do it. Lets say you use 1 toon and do it halfheartedly for about 3-4 hours a day for a week. You should cash out at about 7-10bil on the weekend. And it scales up with each toon you add or with each hour you add to what you do. The hard part is actually converting that to isk, but if you do your math right and plan everything right you should not have much issues. And yes the stuff from the LP store is crashing on the market, look at +5 attribute imps you can get them for 80 mil now =/.
The game is fucked. End of story.

Are youreally able to sell all of that faction crap so fast you already consider yourself sitting on a pile of ISK instead of a crapload of junk to move & sell over the next month or two b4 you are swimming in riches?

If you haven't noticed, Rep. Fleet ships are comparable in prices to normal T1 battleships. The fleet Phoon is only slightly more expensive than an Abaddon…

No. Only Faction Items need tags. Ship BPs, Ships, Implants, Ammo and other things are LP and ISK.
To be fair, you can get all the tags you need in minor and regular sites. The higher end stuff doesn't have the profit margins that, say, faction ammo or ship BPCs have. Especially when you got a group of miners getting the minerals for you on the cheap
And when they fix it, what then? The lp grub bets will move on but fw and losec will be left with a crippled player base. Assuming they can fix it
Hi SEC incursions are still crippled & lo & NULL SEC Incursions were annhilated from the Esclation nerf… dunno what will happen to the FW winter nerf.
CCP may have alot of programming DEVs but the 4 designer DEVs are not enough CCP UNIFEX!!! Hire some more content designers your PvE sucks shite due to its underresourceing & therefore at the intro of every new PvE it becomes a Monty Haul campaign until the death nerf bats come a swinging every time

FW is so much more fun, if you not play it right. You make a hell of a lot of ISK with the farmer frigs while semi-afk. You can steal LP from other farmers, if you have a pirate alt. Or you kill some fags, who take FW serious. sometimes it is pirate on pirate, because I am not the only one with that idea. Then it becomes sometimes 3ways or just everybody against everybody.

FW seemed to be the way to bring the masses to low. But, as always, CCp underestimates it player base's greed for space bucks.
…buuuut much like tech pre-nerf, you really would be dumb not to try and make isk off it. But CCp is weird, they ban some people for making "too much" isk off of FW, and yet it seems like everyone is still making "too much" from FW. I'll keep making isk the hard way, it's more fun
I played faction warfare over a year ago before all the changes… I had a blast in the Amarr militia pvping nonstop, I have to say I had more regular, fun and relatively even fights in battleship fleets against the minnies than I ever had in Null.
Seems shite now that everyone has an alt in FW for the isk… sure the old system had its problems but the disproportional rewards have turned it into soemthing completely fucked.
Shitty thing is in theory the FW system is fine, it's just the players who of course take advantage and manipulate the system in order to maximize their space gold. If people wanted to actually have goodfights and practice pvp (which FW is really supposed to be about) then we wouldn't see this completely one-sided shit-fest fest because people want to whore as much isk as possible.

@op: No, you did not convert 320k LP into 18b isk. What you did was convert them into now most likely worthless items because 100 other people did the same as you. Or you converted Jackals, in which case, LOL owned.
Until you have sold all of your stock, you havent got 18b isk.
