Holy fuck that was boring …

Lets see Awesome right? That was a bunch of what PL + Test (joke #1) shooting a lot of infrastructure crap and warping around in formations .. Exactly how does that make them "Awesomesauce"

    • http://evenews24.com riverini

The art exist just for the sake of being art. Whether you like it or not that video is art and turning eve into art is awesome by itself, if you feel is boring or not that's debatable. I don't go to theater bcz i find it boring while some others will no-doubt enjoy it.

So instead of whining, why not just sit back and enjoy the fireworks?

      • John Douche

There is good art and there is bad art and people do have the fucking right to complain about bad shit. You better accept the comments. It is the only input you get from your readers. Stop being an idiot, Riverini.

        • NinjaTurtle

Not really, there's only art that you understand/enjoy and art that you don't understand/enjoy. Or in this case, I guess it depends on which side of EVE you have blue atm.

        • Ravaeli

Descriptors are subjective, which is a large part of what it means to appreciate art. Some people think the Mona Lisa is a fantastic painting for various reasons, other people see a fairly plain almost unattractive women.

Understand that I am not comparing this video to the Mona Lisa, but instead explaining one of the reasons that make works of art so compelling.

    • Down under

I agree even though there were some good transitions and what not in that vid, there was nothing to actually show the effectiveness of foxcats on anything other then lemmings or structures.

      • you mad bro

It's hard to shoot tengus when -A- always docks up

      • jelly

The fact that we didn't don't get fights is kind-of the point. We use foxcats as a counter to a very specific fleet setup fielded by Against All Authorities. It used to be their ace in the hole for getting around tracking dreads but now they need to think of a more effective way of fighting or they're going to make absolutely no progress in their offensive war.

        • -A- is shit

          They have made progress?

  • Marcus Malice

Pretty boring, it looked like there was about 30 seconds of actual PvP, but the camera was zoomed out to far to tell for sure, the rest was ships in warp, or shooting at stations, IHUBS or POS's.

Clearly Riverini has his finger on the pulse of the community to name this video awesomesauce. /sarcasm

  • dumbass

kinda' like watching a video of fat guys in couches at a shooting range.

    • Rumble bumblebee

I agree with Riverini about the art aspect of this video, but yeah, this guy said it best.

This unholy feline/canine "foxcats" idea is the dumbest one for a long time, so don't be surprised if it doesn't become very popular, eh. I foresee a massive drop in prices when PL realizes how dumb this doctrine is.

      • Manks

You are obviously a retard and in -A-

  • YARR

This isnt the best video of all time, but it shows foxcats in action agains -A- tengu fleets. And the music isnt half bad either lol

    • muuuuu

tengu fleet died because the rol fc decided it was going idea to engage napocs with just 10 scmitar.
NApocs aren't that ZOMGOMG because it can get easily coutered by right tengu fleet format ,close range bs's, welpcanes ,dreads etc

There's reason why shadoo never brings them to catch area.

      • M1k3y

        Cant use BS's or dreads.

PL runs them, they would drop tracking dreads and blap the BS fleet, or a titan and drive-by the Dread.

Basicly, they are a great fleet comp because PL has the capital and supercapital fleet to deter anyone using the best counters (SR Battleships, tracking dreads).

      • PLDuder

If y 4-07 (Diou even watched that video, it shows the foxcats inldo Station) which IS in catch, and I've personally was there incapping station services trying to provoke a fight.

  • zzz

I am fat and running out of content.

  • the vet

another incredible boring video from the ever boring PL/TEST kids

  • The Martini

Step by step are the blobs getting more expensive… won't take long and we will get to see "roaming" cap fleets.

    • nothing new there..

"Step by step are the blobs getting more expensive… won't take long and we will get to see "roaming" cap fleets. "

It's already happening multiple times. 20-50 slowcats warping around k-6 trying to catch tornado gang with 100ish frigate to tackle for them. And then cynoing next system when fleet leaves trough gate.

And still test tries some bad propaganda that there aren't more caps ready to bridge in when they use NAPOCs. Who would believe it after they have dozens ready for some random gang is beyond me.

  • Test vids best vids

Dont let the haters get ya down Riv, TEST may be a bunch of posers but they make a decent vid.

  • guest

The Video does not show how their foxcat blob tries to kill 100mn ab tengu without hitting anything.

  • random dude

void bombs really need to get used more against these fleet types a wing of bombers could cripple there ehp

    • TEST

Right because none of these apocs have cap boosters.

      • Idiot

Lol u just made a statement that makes you look stupid.
When u get some experience one day, you'll figure out why.

      • anonymous

Sure they do but a void bomb run takes out all your cap so you use a lot of cap boosters getting back up to ~33 percent and then maintain it and then you get hit by void again and use up even more. Few cyles of that while you are mwd'ing at your enemy will result in you having no cap for your cap heavy guns and no cap boosters left.

      • IRC Noob

        Typical test pilot spotted.

    • taffelmester

Void bombs works pretty good against most BS tbh. Particularly so vs Gallente and Amarr battleships. What you don't want to do is use Void bombs against AHAC's which CFC has been doing on more than one occasion. That's just dumb. For someone that has actually been in both Pulsepoc and Abaddon fleet doctrines, I can confirm that running out of cap-charges is extremely dangerous in a prolonged fleet brawl. You end up with having to micro-manage hardeners, using half your guns and if you get bubbled you don't have the juice to burn out the bubbles to warp off if you need to regroup.

If you only have a handful bombers they will do more damage with Void than damage bombs.

  • Kung Shoe

lol if the tengus burn away in a straight line, of course they ll die. i wanna see how a apoc hits a tengu when he s right on top of them.

    • Manks

They hit everytime at 100k for good damage and -A- dock up their tengus when they know we are using npocs

  • The Ro Mister

What is the name of this dirty dubstep discoteca, me like.

    • Rumble bumblebee

The original is a South African band Freshly Ground, from the album Nomvula. Someone made a dubstep version of it. Freshly ground sucks on stage (the violinist especially is bored with her job), but the band sounds good on record.

      • The Ro Mister

        Thx

    • Halt Tranty

Mt. Eden – Sierra Leone, it's a pretty big well known dub song on youtube, you should find it easily. :)

  • FA grunt

i love part where they shoot structures , here we can see best skill of PL and Test FC

  • concensus

I would think that at some point people would realize this is what these large coaltions spend most of their time doing

    • Mike

Shooting structures? I know CFC doesn't win very many fights versus pilots, and you see a lot of chestbeating about structure shooting, but I thought PL won fights versus actual pilots from time to time.

      • Here's your sign

I can tell you've never been involved in any PVP.

  • Disgrunteled Player

It really saddens me to see PL is nothing more the the greatest recyclers of old fleet doctrines. These are Sniper Apocs, only this time they are using very expensive hulls and mods. Congratulations PL you have re-used one of the oldest fleet doctrines in the book.

    • Jelly

It's so sad that PL is using an old fleet concept with new ships and different fits that has yet to be seriously challenged in the theater of war that they're currently fighting in. So. Sad.

      • PL Dude

What? Whatever the doctrine you fly it has to be effective against the opposition kiting tengus who like to fight at 100k+ with high ehp and a ridiculously low sig! Navy apoc has great ehp with really good tracking so you mitigate that range issue that many other fleet concepts have failed to break.

        • jelly

The sarcasm of my post was lost somewhere… Yes, Foxcats are awesome for killing -a- tengus. That was my point.

    • taffelmester

I'm in NCdot but I must come to PL's aid here. Just because something is old doesn't mean it's bad. PL will use anything to win the fight and so they should. PL has also given us many good fleet doctrines over the years. PL is and has always been a highly innovative outfit.

With that said they're still fags.

    • Manks

So what if a fleet doctrine is old if it ain't broken why fix it

    • youreanidiot

Old snipocs used tachyons, foxcats use megapulses

  • CptGreywolf

I'm by no means a fan of Test, however credit where credit is due, video editing is not an easy task and as for the video part a very good job.

But personally I would of used a different soundtrack to more match the footage, and some actual pvp footage, maybe some hero logi work or the melting of the enemy fleet, something with a little excitement other then the otherwise very nice laser light show as I was bored about a minute in.

Other then that good job on the video

  • herpaderp

What we need is void bubbles! o/

  • Yawn

TL:DW atypical meth head music didnt help. Besides its test so nobody cares anyways.

  • M1k3y

Give the propaganda job back to whoever was doing it during the delve campaign, THAT was some good stuff.

  • Goon Hater

Most boring Vid i have ever seen – Note to self – "shoot one's self in face" if i ever have to watch shit like that again..
Test are just fucktrads and PL are just pets of said fucktards..

  • jelly

Yep, we continually have a lot of new players in TEST who are oblivious to station camps and/or think a kitchen sink will do anything against properly FCed sniper gangs. It's a little messy raising pilots up from birth and throwing them into a hot zone but you can't argue with the long term results. Today's rifter is tomorrow's navy apoc.
