    The pilgrim can be a very effective hunter but you really have to know how to pick your targets. You DPS is god awful so they are more frequently sent after PvE targets where the rats can help take down your target.
    Also, there is a tactic known as "Strategic Area Denial" (SAD) that uses small groups of cloaky recons to great effect by lurking in local and then striking at PvE targets. It's hard to do, but when employed correctly it's extremely effective at evicting people from NPC nullsec.
