In a show of what Goonswarm does best, fighting with overwhelming numbers, they successfully defended a Tech moon coming out of reinforcement in AW1-21.

AW1-21: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

The Goons have successfuly defended a tech moon coming out of reinforcement in AW1-21 on 08/20/2012. While the Goons where in their typical Drakefleet they had also brought a few tracking dreads to deal with the Abbadon/AHAC fleet that intel suggested was coming. As Goons arrived on the scene first they got to work on the cyno jammer in system so they would be able to use the dreads currently on standby.

After dispatching the cyno jammer in AW1-21 the Goons positioned themselves at range off the gate where the DOTBros were going to be entering the system. Right as bubbles went up on the gate the DOTBros jumped into system. The DOTBro FC appeared to have decloaked a little early and was dead a few seconds later to the incoming fire of all the drakes. To the amusement of all, a few seconds later Mister Vee appeared to have left the fleet and warped off. Insiders say he may have “accidentally the whole client” when turning on missile effects to make sure his fleet was focusing fire.

Once both sides FC’s problems were sorted out, the fight continued with a large amount of back and forth with Goons ultimately holding the field. As the DOTBros started leaving the field it appeared that they were heading home with their heads squarely where the Goons wanted them. Not so.

A few seconds later the Goons were alerted that the DOTBros had just landed on top of the carriers responsible for repairing the tower’s shields. Knowing that the Goon’s fleet was primarily shield based and stuck in bubbles on the gate, the DOTBros started shooting an Archon that was assisting the other triage carriers. Unable to be effectively supported by the shield fleet, the Archon fell. While the DOTBro fleet was busy with the Archon, another Goon carrier was able to light a cyno and in came the tracking dreads.

Once the goons Drakefleet was clear of the bubbles at the gate and the tracking dreads got to work on the hostile Abbadons, the battle was lost for DOTBros. Good fights, amongst other things, were had in local and the remainder of the fleets started their journey home.

All other reports have been by NC. Surely you can deal with one CFC report then?

Yea this report is pretty spot on to what happened, actually didnt think we killed that much.

I'm actually curious as to where this bias in the report is? Aside from obvious chestbeat MISSION ACCOMPLISHED title it seems pretty straight forward.

The title was completely ridiculous and that was the point and some people unfortunately confuse perspective for bias. Most people don't understand that the reports will always show perspective unless a third party is allowed to observe the fight. This combined with some editors not removing the obvious bias can make these reports seem somewhat like super biased propaganda pieces sometimes. We are always trying to get better with removing the craziness we see when things are submitted. If you are involved in a fight please let us know what happened and we will always try to get it posted.

Not biased at all, thats what happened. It was a whelp. Twinky committed hara kiri in front of the CFC blob before we loaded grid. Chris took over FC and we did okay for a bit, later warped in at 0 on the capfleet and killed one, started killing others but their cycles kept ending and they cought reps as we moved out of multifreq range on them. Then the tracking dreads went seige and we started losing heavily and had to pull out.

I wouldnt call it a whelp, but it was a solid victory for CFC – losses not even close to a Pyrric victory, and the field was held.

        Keep enjoying your war, y'all.

TBH, I'd start RFing towers that have any super cap production capabilities. That, and the other stuff, like Pro, Neo, and Platinum.

      1. Bunkum

Yes that's a good plan – RF all the plat moons while losing tech moons, that will show those stupid goons. Choke them on the massive amounts of ISK while they are forced to swap to any of the other hundreds of plat moons.

If NC. can't take back a tech moon, why will they have any more success taking a Neo or plat moon? And for the record they have hit CSAA towers – CFC just show up and defend them.

Well at least CFC didn't bring Phoenix this time LOL.
In all honesty this could be considered a fight, not a GF unfortunately CFC is unable to provide them, well it wasn't what could be called a welp, was just clr advantages on paper i.e. numbers, the counter ship type (drake) & tracking dreads wich gave CFC the firm edge,if CFC had failed as usual wouldn't have been suprising,as they field these odds of 2to1 vs Dotbros fairly often an have to my knowledge won 2-3 fights with only 2to1 odds, all others hey have welped, but ofc when it gets in the region of 5to1 odds not a whole lot Dotbros can do about that blob.

How it would have turned out is mostly irrelevant – it's like asking how it would have turned out if they had only show up in rifters. Numbers are as much a weapon as skill – I believe the phrase is: "Quantity has a quality all of it's own".

NC. whelp (well twinky if honest) one fleet when trying to get a gf from goons with half numbers and for once dont rape goons when 2:1 odds – isnt that whats meant to happen?
When the laughable truth is this is a rarity and its usually Goons who fail even with the massive numbers, even with tidi holding thier hands.
I do find it somewhat ironic that Goons led the CCP crying bandwagon about tracking titans getting nerfed (because they didnt have more than anyone else back then) and managed to get them gimped just in time. Yet now even with massive blob numbers are dropping tracking dreads is absolutly fine, even on massivly snaller fleets – it does make me chuckle that one.

Personally instead of fighting Goons on their terms i'd hit multiple targets at once, rf shit all over the place on the same timers and then hot drop the shit out of them when they cant form a massive blob quick enough

This is horrible to read … yay goons actually out-blobbed real players again!

Fortunately, Karttoon's vision of euthanasia remains a work in progress. With all the cash the goons have, the next disband remains perched like a boulder on the side of a steep cliff. As sure as gravity, opportunity and the profit motive will prevail in the end.

In the meantime, we just wait some more.
