Much has been said about botting on Tranquility. Sreegs has been running wild with his ban hammer and seems to have made a dent in the plain vanilla, commercially available, widely known by the community, botting software. It isn’t a story to tell your grandkids, but it is a good start. However, it seems the policing of the Chinese server, Serenity, is more… lax.
The Pan Galaxy Business Community Alliance is a relatively large, heavily industry-based alliance on Serenity. As far as I can tell, unlike Tranquility, space is less contested on Serenity. Null sec seems substantially less populated as well. Fountain is apparently inhabited by this carebear alliance. It is also rife with botting, based on google’s garbled translation of pages I found talking about the alliance.
Pan Galaxy was running a mining op in TEG on the Sunday. It was a massive mining op. It is quite likely that it was run entirely by bots. One of their alliance members tossed a mobile warp disruptor in line with the station. So, when the four members of the Tsukigata Coalition arrived in system, the mining bots failed to warp. The Tsukigatas arrived on grid with purifiers and bombed the mining operation.
It was a massacre. The plan went without a hitch… except, when CCP spawned in all their pods, some pods ended up in the awoxer’s bubble. Their botting program dutifully tried to warp them to station in the bubble, outing the awoxer. Still, 132 hulks dead is worth the loss of an awoxer.

You can't transfer ISK from one server to the next unless you buy PLEX and sell them illegally (aka without CCP's prmission), in which case CCP can easily catch you doing it and drop the banhammer.
You cannot transfer PLEX either.
It should have regular players there and thereby buyers for ISKs, but if not can Chinese botters use it to develop and test their bot software.
It may be used as a testing ground. But, beyond that, the server does have 100k accounts on it, so I'm sure they need isk over there as much as we need isk on tranq. It just seems that botting isn't policed over there.
Possibly because they tolerate their existence a little more there than here and as a means to encourage the industry and to attract (real) players. I am pretty certain once the player numbers reach some magic marker will the start swinging the ban hammer over there more fiercely.

When the server spawned… I guess I should have phrased it differently. When a ship dies, the server removes the ship and spawns in a wreck and a pod. In this case, because there were so many of them, it seems some ended up inside the bubble that made this whole thing possible.
I think if you are going to be a pretend journalist you are going to start writing things a little more clearly.

The fact that people were trying to warp out of a bubble means they are either dumb and never seen a bubble before, all while they are mining in 0.0 space, or they were botters whose software cannot identify the presence of a bubble and therefore will try to warp despite its presence.
So, yes, the chance for them being botters is high.
Can one prove that someone is a botter? No, not even CCP can. It is all a matter of filtering for various scenarios and whatever remains, no matter how likely or unlikely it seems, will mean that it was a botter.

Do not believe this news, it is totaly false. PIBC didn't use any bot. The situation is most of the mining team went out to eat something. The people who stayed there were noob, so they didn't pay attention the warning. That's the true reason!!!
