Tl;D… watch:

Test fielded over 900 ships on the final timer for 49-.  PL brought nearly 200 ships additionally (primarily slowcat carriers).  FA came down looking for fighting in a 40 man drake gang.  A few other blues arrived as well.  Local broke 1300.  Quite an impressive blob. AAA stood down. HBC held the system for another day.

AAA did, however have a bombing run worth mentioning that killed off FA’s drake fleet: BATTLE DOC

    They were bragging about "don't get in our way we'll bring 500 unbreakable tengus" yeah where you at now scrubs? this was the hbc at it's best, they formed and the whole bloody coalition got on and banded together as a team. and -a- denied them a good fight. except for sending in some random bombers that got blapped on the gate by the 200 man instacane army and a few "L33T" frig pilots that that thought they could out run boosted dramiels and rifters, other than -a-'s usual shit talking and failure to bring a fight when they actually HAVE to this showed that hbc is ready and willing to bring it.

    Hoping better luck with timer next time as these timers suck for EU ppl. Ofc odds are its pretty much the same as it is timed to US tz for obvious reasons. But that +-3 hours can really make a difference on timer if we get lucky.

      I'm in the north so I'm looking at it from the outside, the butthurt seems to be from HBC/CFC. The rageposting from your guys confirms desperation for morale in bleak days. Face it, you overextended, you thought your plan was different somehow, that you would win in a prolonged war against -A-. And just as every other major blob that tried to kill -A-, you will lose. The CFC and HBC depend on propaganda to get people into the fleets, once that warm fuzzy feeling you all get from a SOTG fades and the numbers decline it's all over. Blobs are a one trick pony I'm afraid, you can hit hard in one point at one time, and that works for taking sov or moons, but it won't win you wars. All sov can be lost and the war still won, -A- proved this, SOLAR proved this. The only thing TEST has ever done by itself thats worthy of mention is…. oh yeah, nothing. You ride the coat-tails of Goon ingenuity and claim it as your own. It's pretty laughable really.

    Anyone else wish HBC would stop being cowards and just reset CFC? EVE is stagnant as it is, and the 1st and 2nd largest coalitions in the game are blue to each other. What's the fucking point… it's as risk averse as it gets.

    Lol I have to admit you HBC guys are funny the last fight before this -A- was out numbered not as much as this time but still outnumbered they fought held the field reinforced the station you guys docked. This time around its kitchen sink time -A- brings same numbers from last time and you guys now have 2 to 1 odds in your favor with like 100-200 carriers and 1400+ in local and you expect -A- with 700+ to jump in and some how put up a good fight lol. How about this you guys jump in and fight -A- when they outnumber your fleet 2-1 and hold the field doubtful that will ever happen because without the blob fest you guys fall apart. I really wonder how is morale going with HBC because the carrier pilots and up probably aren't too dejected not too many losses but everyone below are they still reimbursing you guys for your ships?

        Confirming I was fully reimbursed for 2 rokhs, 2 drakes, and a stealth bomber I lost in Monday's fight. That's about 650mil i ships. Last I heard -A- only reimburses the tengu hull itself (no modules). This never made sesnse to me.

            Well that makes a little more sense. Why not just give you a flat payout though or have the alliance just give you the ship, subsystems, and mods all in one package? I don't know you're system or where you receive the hull and everything but a flat payout seems a lot easier to work with. It sounds like you have to apply for reimbursement twice too (once for corp and once for alliance) which seems redundant. I could be wrong though.

        Honestly, I was just guessing at numbers. I saw a couple dozen doing a victory orbit of the station. Then heard FA was bombed and, based on comms "lost all their ships" – saw 40 dead last night, and went with it. Looks like 47 dead now. I'll take your word on the 125, because when local gets that high, a server hamster fart bumps local a couple dozen, so it was near impossible to get a firm idea on numbers of any individual alliance without a major fight where everyone gets kill/loss mails.

    I did have respect for TEST for wanting to stand on their own and try to hold the field.. after all.. they are fighting alliances that are at least on pilot level 3 times better then the average TEST pilot. I don't know if DekCo was bat phoned or the just decided to crash the party anyway.. but those extra 200 – 300 was the reason why -A- stood down. I know the propaganda machine is going on overload right now.. but TEST did what we all expected them to do.. it took them 2 weeks to call in their friends.. witch just show that they are not as big and bad as they claim to be.. and they will not be able to hold these regions by them self. It's just a matter off time.. TEST will lose those regions sooner or later.. probably sooner..

      The math is fuzzy. 1DH was at almost 1000 before PL jumped subcaps in. Sure, maybe some of PL were staging out of the Test staging system instead of the PL staging system. Hard to get a good count on PL in system, though, when I'm assuming the bulk of PL were in carriers repping the station instead of getting killmails.

          The HBC and the CFC are not simply allies on paper; their commonalities and mutual respect run deeper than many, particularly as TEST are effectively a Goon spinoff in many respects. Any reset between the two would be a token gesture at best. If they wanted CFC support, even when reset, the batphone would still function.

          TEST & Co. have stated they they plan to do this without CFC support. That may or may not be true (for many reasons, including the above, it is effectively impossible, despite what they say).

          Simply resetting the CFC accomplishes nothing, and potentially makes the HBC appear less threatening in the eyes of some pilots in the -A- stable, possibly increasing their numbers and fleet participation.

          Why would TEST do such a thing, when they have nothing to gain? Honor doesn't play into this. TEST is clearly intent on winning, price be damned.

Tbh, we could sit the CFC on one side of a table and SOCO on the other, counting their blue lists..     -A- needs to be careful here, a major part to any war is the propaganda campaign. It's even more important here, because TEST depends heavily upon pilots with less experience and tends to recruit using the "Hey this is awesome, come join our invincible horde, we're conquering the galaxy" sort of slogan. As long as they keep forcing -A- into moral defeats, they keep winning the propaganda war, and in the end that's what will really hurt -A-, even if -A- can win military battles for now. I know for a fact that there are hug number of TEST & pets pilots still in empire space who aren't in null sec, and if TEST null sec stabilizes and they keep winning the propaganda war, their ranks will continue to swell as people pour out of high/low sec to reinforce TEST & pets null-sec. -A- needs to start getting some big moral victories to demoralize TEST or things are going to go badly for them in the future.

    Last night there was no intention of good fights -A- had reinforced the system and were about to flip it. That would have given them the tactical advantage of being able to deploy caps to Period basis, Delve or Querious.
    Honey badger coalition couldn’t afford that to happen so massed together a huge fleet. 900 Test 200 PL and assorted blues. Goons were not bat phoned or they would have seen a lot higher numbers. I think -A- made the right call to stand down but the fight would have been fun. -A- lost face after hyping up a huge fight and then not fighting.
    Now –A- will have to try again after all their work for the last week has been in vain.

    You also had the tactical advantage of being in system before us and able to reship faster.
    you used your advantages well an won the battles.

    HBC used there numbers and cheaper ships to fight and used the meatsheild tactic to win,
    in the week it didnt work last night it did.

    AAA and Test seem relatively evenly matched on Sov timers like this.

    You can disregard any discussion of quality PvP from either side posted about the fight. Sov warfare is simply a numbers game. The skill is in forming the group (coalition) to take/hold the station timers. This does take skill, not in a 'shooting shit' way, but the abiltity to manage opinions and egos.

    The CFC/HBC relationship is a massive part of the fight. Whatever the reality of the situation, the perception that CFC may pile in to a fight, massivley discourages AAA from getting involved in fights like what 49 could have been.

    There will be stalemate until either TEST can win a general large fight (it seems AAA are winning these generally), or AAA can win on final timers against full scale TEST defence. Or (hopefully), either side comes up with something more imaginative than banging heads across the 49-/4-07 gate (its worth mentioning to those not aware of the geography this is one of the few gates in eve that confers a particular strategic advantage, as the space between the systems is so large that caps can't jump from one to the other – hence the importance of holding the system on the enemies side of the gate.)
