After working their way up to the finals and battling the odds against the same Hun Reloaded Vagur fleet fit that totally trashed Pandemic Legion on the semi-finals, the Verge of Collapse just won the Tenth Alliance Tournament.

So happy, for those of you who dont know most of VoC are ex Occupational Hazzard corps that decided to turn there back on OH after Lan (who was the leader of OH at the time) decided to turn his merc marauding alliance into a sov holding and pet merc alliance.There is actually a thread in CaoD about it here eve-search.com/thread/92652-1. I actually flew with these guys for over 7 months, also worth noting a fair few of Suddenly Spaceships was also in OH. Im sure there alot more to them besides this this is just a brief history of my experience flying with OH
I was also in OH and we never really got the credit we deserved, it was one of my best alliances I ever joined (even better than NRG corp way back in 2004/2005). We would generally take on over a 100 with 30 or so ships was alot of fun. There also a very old OH video that BP made before mind games had to leave OH due to BP being a greedy bastard here forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts… with most of the Aquila and Volta guys involved. Alot of Mind games members dissovled into VOLTA after we spit from OH aswell.
Anyways well done guys you totally deserved it and it makes me very happy

Im sure theres a hell of alot more history behind it then just the OH saga. just alot of people were struggling to understand who VoC were and what they have done. Im just submitting my very small part of that history so people get a slightly better idea of what they have done
Not trying to feel special either I just knew I flew with these guys for several months and it was a blast. Hell I dont even play Eve anymore gave my char to someone else, I was watching the tournament though as most old players who dont play anymore do. Was cheering for them the whole way made me very happy when they finally won well done guys

There have been so many close matches this tournament, it's been really entertaining. Mad props to CCP for all the effort that has gone into this.
After a brief discussion with one of the Verge of Collapse corp CEOs, he admitted the alliance was formed solely for the purpose of participation in ATX. Whatever that might imply, my heart and congratulations go out to Verge of Collapse – it was a well-earned victory!
It's also made up of really good corps with really good pilots.

Seriously Huns are true bros and true pros, any member of Nulli who would deny that would likely get kicked. The support for Hun after we lost was ridiculous, there were people practically shouting as they lost. More than that, when they got transferred into the stadium from the Jita station by the mods, their Tengu had all it's modules and subsystems get disabled. That's why their tanks didn't work. They probably would have won if they had had those boosts.

If this is true, then I'd say it's a legit excuse. Huns looked strong the whole tourney, but looked weak in the final. This may be the awnser to all the mysteries.
This was actually the best AT in recent memory. I don't think excluding Hydrabreak ruined the tourney, despite all the whiners who said it would.
Excluding Hydrabreak ensured that the tourney won't get ruined. I warmly recommend doing the same next year.
You do realize there's quite a simple solution to any perceived or real Hydrabreak issues right? Beat them in the tournament.
They might have rigged the final, but that doesn't change the fact they built 2 teams that beat everyone else on the way there.
