TAGN: When Titans Get Bi-Querious
By the time I logged on, the fleet of the night involved jumping around and knocking out cynosural system jammers in various systems so that the capital fleet could show up later, jump into those systems, and put stations into reinforce.
Not glorious work, but somebody has to do it and it was a Dabigredboat fleet, which meant something amusing would happen.
We had been out for the first run and had come back to F2OY-X, which is in the Querious region, which is what set up the very bad joke that I stole from somebody in coms and turned into the title of this post. We were back on the titan at 2,000m and sitting around waiting for the cyno ship to get out to the target. The same thing I’ve done a couple dozen times now, to the point that sitting on a titan seems normal and I never bump it.

All of a sudden, another titan is there. I wasn’t paying attention. I was tabbed out and reading something when it showed up, but I heard the somebody on Mumble making a joke about titans assuming a numerical position, so brought EVE back up to see this.

So, hah hah, two titans, one on top of the other, in what might be a compromising position if it were two naked adults. And they are giant phallic symbols as well. This stuff writes itself.
Then somebody on coms said they were going to bump and that it would be pretty cool. And just as I am thinking that I ought to get Fraps up or something, I and every other ship hanging on the titan are suddenly flying across space as the titan in the station shrinks with the distance.

I ended up well over 100km away after the bump.

And the other titan was flung more than 200km further down range from my landing spot.

People like me turned on their MWDs and motored back to the station and our titan, while those wiser in the ways of space just jumped further away and then jumped back to the titan and shaved a couple of seconds off of the trip. We all formed back up at 2,000m off of our titan while the other titan returned and put people a bit on edge with its close proximity again.

But there was no second bump.
Shortly after that we bridged out and shot up our assigned jammers.

All of the jammers appeared to belong to the Viking Empire. I had never heard of them before. In coms it was explained we that we did not disliked them or anything, it was just that somebody in TEST wanted to build a summer vacation home in their space. All of their space. Or something like that.

And while we flew around and shot them, I spent my time trying to take picture of the missile launcher graphics on the updated Drake design.

And that was the war in Delve for me for the night. It was a boat fleet and I did learn something new; watch out when titans bump.

TAGN is a NullSec Blog, as the intro says this is a null-sec capsuleer giving his impressions/experiences – a lot of empire duellers will find this blog revealing.
The relevant detail is that most of the readership on my blog… which is more generally oriented towards online games… does not play EVE. So I tend to put a lot of context around simple things. Plus I am old and have a bad memory, so half the time the context is so I'll remember what the hell I was talking about at some future date. So yeah, funny picture, why the picture was funny, more pictures supporting the funny picture, and then I meander off to nowhere in particular. It is just going to be that way.
That said, you can pretty much assume that when Riverini reposts anything from my blog, he is deliberately trolling bitter vets. Govern yourselves accordingly.
I like this man. He seems honest and humble and just enjoys the game.
I think it says a lot that people can talk about EVE from the standpoint of a layman and still have a lot to speak about. Meanwhile the vets can all stand around hurfing to each other about how much more there is going on. It shows just how deep EVE really is.

Trolling by the head publisher of a News website? Talk about professionalism. While I don't consider your post bad it's not news worthy. This is an internet spaceship news web site (or so it's supposed to be – even the site name points to that). There is a reason why there are blogs.
If Riv was smart (and by gosh he proved soooo many times he is not) he would make a section with relevant/funny/whatever blogs somewhere on the page.
Don't get me wrong, it's nothing personal, I don't mind if people advertise other people's blogs, but not this way.

But this is the pinnacle of the "This isn't news! Why are you posting this??" argument. It's two titans jumping in and bumping one another. Also if this article is any indication of how low the bar of what is considered news is. Then any fool with a cyno cock up, or a CTA formup, or a failed hot drop, or any other mildly uninteresting event will think that their little tale is front page news because, "Hey titan bumps in Querios got published, why not our 5 man hulk mining op with wacky hijinks?"
And if this really is for the benefit of the unwashed highsec masses to see how the other half lives, then do you really think this is the most interesting story? Or even a story they want to hear? There are all sorts of INTERESTING things that happen in null that people in highsec might be interested in. Not watching two ships they'll never see in space bumble around on a POS.

We were here for "good fights" but then SoCo decided to call in every friend they could get to "blob" on us. So in return, we just decided to call in our friends. The trick is, we have stronger, better, and more friends then them.
And "CFC will burn" is so funny coming from SoCo. Because to make us burn, you would actually be required to undock and fight us for real, not just a bombing run or two. Lets not forget though, the last time you guys decided to engage us with your Loki fleet, we tore you apart with Drakes. 3 Billion loss and like 70 Billion killed. Hmm.
