Xander Phoena and Jeg Elsker are a couple of null-sec PvP grunts with a lot to get off their chests. As an experiment to see who might listen, they started the Crossing Zebras podcast to discuss in-game events from a null-sec PvP perspective. Bringing you opinion and news from across New Eden once a fortnight in a nice and easy one-hour slot, www.crossingzebras.com is your go-to place when you need your news in a light-hearted and fun manner.
ShowNotes:
This week, Jeg and Xander have to be kept pulled apart by the dulcet tones of evenews24.com and carebearnation.com contributor, Dsan! There’s a lot to go over this week including the chaos that is Delve and the rampant manipulation of the Faction Warfare LP system in the past couple of weeks. Needless to say, Jeg and Xander don’t see eye-to-eye on everything…
The full schedule for this week’s episode is:
(0:31) – Introductions and apologies
(17:52) – Delve shenanigans – who is involved, why they are there and what the likely fallout might be, both long and short-term
(43:12) – Goonies manipulate the Faction Warfare LP system – some very heated discussion on how the new LP system for Faction Warfare released in Inferno was grossly manipulated to the tune of trillions of ISK and what the CCP have done / should have doneA wee discussion on what Jeg, Xander and Dsan have been doing in game and IRL over the past few weeks
(1:15:08) – Shoutouts and signoffs

Is this Website Kugu Lite now? Its turning into it. How about doing something different and reporting on something besides Delve, Goons and pets.
EN24 has always been mostly about null sec, and the NAPfest that is CFC has made it so there is only two powers in all of null sec, it sucks we all know that, but CCP has been encouraging blobs for the last 3 years, so this is what you get. I do remember when you didn't need to move across 3 regions to get a fight ahh yeah the good old days…… those days are gone sorry to say.
Simple, stop being blue to everybody. Good fights for all.
CCP doesn't encourage blobs, Goons do.
Solution: grow balls and don't blue everybody.
There you go.
Unfortunately all the people moaning about blueballing and Napfests usually are members of allainces who take the coin from teh goons in order to protect their tech moons.
En24 has always derived a good portion of its content from Kugu, so that en24 readers don't have to wade through pages and pages of shit posting in order to find the useful information.
Delve is where the majority of null is fighting currently. Goonswarm gets a lot of articles because it is one of the most active alliances, doing things that affect others in the game.
If you have anything interresting we should report on, do shoot us a tip or an ingame mail,
It would be much apreciated.
We know stuff goes on in Germinate, we should probably look more into it.
Also, we could maybe write more about FW…
Great podcast, listening to this in the stations is a decent way of passing the time.
Should pass this on to SoCo – they definitely need something to pass their time whilst seeing who can reach 10 million ship spins first.
Jeg is right
And so me, as we pretty much agreed ?
lol the north wont take sov in the south…lmao
…TEST and Goons kind of already have? Do they not count as "the north"?
Turn off adblock!!!??? You cheeky b'stard!!!
I turned it off when I heard background music playing throughout the video. Is that really necessary?
Most feedback has been that people prefer the background music to a 'wall of speech'. I'm going to turn the volume down on the background music and keep it instrumental only going forward though so it proves less of a distraction.
Goons will take all of null unless you fucking -a- retards get your head out of your ass and stop worrying about your space and start worrying about winning and not whelping fleets of t3s.
To be fair, we are pretty fucking retarded.
I think the SOCO main issue is the level of entry for new players to join them.
Its about numbers. once the SOCO block start to show up in big numbers it will make more ppl join the steam wagon. its a spiral of either up or down. a war take month. put them in a newbro corp/alliance and recruite hard. let the newbro
Old saying: the today rifter pilots is tomorrows drake pilots etc.
and honestly if your alliance can cover for even a single T3 cruiser you should be able to pay for Rifters. after all they can tackle and deal small dps.
what i can see only Goons do massive newbro campains while the others clinger to -"Elite pvp"
well thoes elite have to come from somewhere and a flight of rifters can be deadly if trained right.
I dont think -A- has a super high barrier; They dont take day 1 newbies like TEST/GSF, but they do take relatively pubbie players still. Its Raiden/NCdot/PL who are the main super veterans; -A- claims to be elite pvp but really theyre just lead by a bunch of killmail whores, who care more about the kd ratio for their own board than how their coalition did.
you guys should actually try playing this game you talk so much about, you might actually get stuff right then
What did we get wrong exactly?
It's just that a lot has turned out, or is turning out differently from what we predicted I guess. Which makes us look "wrong" as this was put on En24 so late compared to when we actually recorded it.
Most of the podcast is personal views and opinions. not sure how we can get that wrong
GOON BETTER REMEMBER WHO THE FUCK IS IN CHARGE. BITCHES.
You can only deny fights for so many timers before you lose all your sov..
lol, once again, nobody was punished, they were REWARDED with PLEX FFS.
