PSA: Getting “Verification failed” off the new patch? here’s is a work around.

We might not be the only ones with this issue, so we better spread the voice. If you keep getting a “verification failed” message every time you try to update your EVE client, do the following:

On Windows 7
1 – Open Start -> and write CMD.exe press enter.
2 – navigate to the eve folder, in my case it was: cd \Program Files (x86)\CCP\EVE
3 – Write the following h4x0r line:

“repair.exe –safemode –ignore=*.stuff”

Notice the space after “safemode”

4 – press enter.

You should get a dialog like this:

4 – Let the magic work its wonder.
