What follows is the personal view from a Raiden. grunt on the current status of the Tenal conflict.
So, as you probably see in the sov map, Raiden has lost a few system to RZR in Tenal. Or we are just letting a space that we don’t really want, to go.
It’s explained by me, so a Raiden. view.
War on Tenal: A Raiden. Grunt View.
For the past 3 months of war has been raging in the north. It all started out with WN dying and Ev0ke and Init coming to help us. We retook about 16 tech moons WN lost, the number could have been higher. Most of the moons were in Branch, where enemy holds the SOV and it was just matter of time until SOV ticked high enough for them to cynojam the systems. Sadly they jammed 99% of the systems with tech and after that they managed to retake the lost tech. In the meantime Razor deployed to BKG after being told they will get Tenal. BKG is the perfect system to stage from to invade/grind SOV in Tenal.
So this is the status now, Razor is making timers a day for us, SOV and tech. They sit in the USTZ and can do this safely since we dont have any force yet that can deal with in that TZ. Only two alliances us and INIT are fighting the combined CFC, a metric shitton of alliances, cos Ev0ke isn’t active. NCdot is moving home to Tribute with the whole shebang.
Now I am sad to say that we can all see that RDN members are dead tired of defending Tenal and fighting “The Blob”. So instead of burning every last one of us down, we are choosing not to do it anymore. This does not mean we are done or that we dont have plans, this just means we are not gonna give a fuck more about the region we havent really used since Christmas, a damn ratting region.
It is plain to see that Razor wants Tenal lot more than we want to keep it.
After the great NC-war we took Tenal for us to build supercaps and to chill abit between deployments, now that we aren´t actually building supercaps there anymore, its more than pointless to keep paying for SOV and fruitlesly trying to defend it when we have so little to gain for it. We still hold 90% of the Vale of the Silent.
One can say that wars have up and down swings, we are hoping that with NCdot here and Ev0ke hopefully getting their shit together, we can turn the tide back on the hostiles, time will tell.
The War is far from over and to be honest. We were the first to fight them when they attacked WN in Branch and have given them a bloody nose time after time again since.
The war is not over, the allies come and go and the space comes and goes. We are not defined by our allies and we are certainly not defined by our ratting grounds. And I must say that having assets reaching from Geminate to Tenal to low sec in 5 regions is hell of way to go to defend shit, so logistically it is infact nice to cut down abit on it.
We are going to stay in Venal, we are going to keep fighting like we always do, that is afterall how most of us define this alliance we call Raiden. We are going to look on opportunities to drop on our enemies when they relax their guard.

I have had some great fights with Raiden, however, let's not pretend that Raiden only care about PVP. Because if they were just out and about looking for fights they wouldn't drop supercaps on small roaming fleets. Dropping titans etc for system defence fair enough but to drop them on drake gangs really isn't the mark of someone just in it for good fights.

There are two things I don't understand about Goonswarm… First, the mentality that a person sitting in a 100 billion isk alliance-level asset should be no more effective in combat than a newbie sitting in a drake.
Second, no matter how long someone has been in Goonswarm, they seem to remain a newbie in a drake. I don't get it. It's like entering Goonswarm somehow drops you into a stasis of some sort which prevents the acquisition of anything resembling skill.
You would think after so long, you'd have acquired at least one FC capable of doing something other than smashing 1000 drakes against a brick wall screaming "PRIMARY STILETTO" and yet, there you are, month after month and year after year, doing the same. damn. thing.

This is why the sov issue needs sorted asap.Fighting for space should be a conflict driver where both sides can have some great fights of all sizes (small,medium and large).And more importantly as this is a game it should be a lot of fun for both the attacker and the defender !
I think most people can agree the current sov system is more of a grind and takes a lot of the potential fun away from the game.In the end nobody really wins with Eve like this !
The biggest reason why this isnt fun for raiden. is the CFC strategy, slowly grinding you down until you collapse is probably the most annoying thing you can do in this game and there isnt much to stop it except counter attacking.

The problem is technetium – currently, the optimal alliance doctrine is a roving supercapital fleet funded by tech moons and not being "held down" by sovereignty.
That you can thank The Mittani for, instead he has in the CSM avoided bringing up technetium and instead only brough up changes about supercap nerfing. And CCP is showing favourtism towards the cfc and The Mittani in that aspect. So yes CCP is in return in bed with the cfc and indirectly aiding them in their fight, conspiracy I am calling!

Well to raidenDOT's defence, its unrealistic to fight cfc on their own with just init. The sheer size and their heavy us tz presence makes it a nightmare for raiden. The only real upper hand they had against em was obviously their rather impressive super numbers (and the willingness to field them unlike cfc)

They will probably come in for fights and to be a nice third party to add to the confusion, but in terms of ally? Very doubtful as long as nc dot and pl are buddies with raiden. But this original post doesnt surprise me in the least… With blap titans getting a firm bitch slapping raidens competitive edge just got destroyed out right. Without the support of allies to match blob numbers raidens ability to be competitive has greatly deminished. Resets happen all the time. Half of the -A- southern power block is on the verge of full resets from week to week.

RAZOR was a long time neighbor of IRC. No guarantees that they wont stop at Tenal, and that stands for all of the CFC.
Drone space is up for grabs and its going to be a big land grab for everyone.
Razor numbers are not huge for the fleets that is fielding.
Average numbers are 40/55 and in a good day with a CTA we get 140/160 and thats with Supers/Capitals deployed as well. For this all this posts and explanations is nothing else but damage control for Raiden. and nothing more. The CFC members are joining the Razor Fleets that attacking the Tenal but that is because they want to fight and get kills.
There is no official war between CFC and Raiden. for the Tenal. Let me make this clear.
Is just Razor that is attacking the Tenal and Raiden. is losing.

Please name a moment in EVE where big ISK hasn't come from moons. Without a substantial revamp of either T2 invention/manufacturing or moon mining, tech nerf would only mean people would move on to the next bottleneck moon mineral.
Unless CCP redistributed said bottleneck all across eve, which they should have in the begining to prevent RMT people like The Mittani from holding onto said isk sinks

RZR is pining for Tenal with religious fervour, but it'll be interesting if they can hold on to it without massive CFC help. It's also amusing to see the ex-MM pine for Trib in the meantime – they semi-hate the idea of Tenal being at the top of the take-back list and all.

CFC tactics of grinding their enemy down and denying them favourable fights until they stop logging in has been quite effective. The start of this war numbers were quite even between the forces of elite pvp and CFC however as the attrition-al war has waged on the much larger CFC coalition has continued to bring good numbers while the forces of elite pvp have dwindled.
Raiden may not have wanted that space anyway, but they sure as hell wanted them CSAA's and Tech.

Its funny, CFC has reached the critical point, where thier smugness and general asshattery has earned them more groups that would like to Mittens acctually slip, fall, and choke this time (iycmd). No one outside CFC really likes them.
I absolutly love the attitude in the East, Hardcore threats and fights, RED surrenders, and AAA is like, nice fight and evicts Cascade to give them space. Legion is leaving Shadow to die. Solar is killing Shadow. Non of these groups like the CFC.
