What follows is the personal view from a Raiden. grunt on the current status of the Tenal conflict.

So, as you probably see in the sov map, Raiden has lost a few system to RZR in Tenal. Or we are just letting a space that we don’t really want, to go.

It’s explained by me, so a Raiden. view.

War on Tenal: A Raiden. Grunt View.

For the past 3 months of war has been raging in the north. It all started out with WN dying and Ev0ke and Init coming to help us. We retook about 16 tech moons WN lost, the number could have been higher. Most of the moons were in Branch, where enemy holds the SOV and it was just matter of time until SOV ticked high enough for them to cynojam the systems. Sadly they jammed 99% of the systems with tech and after that they managed to retake the lost tech. In the meantime Razor deployed to BKG after being told they will get Tenal. BKG is the perfect system to stage from to invade/grind SOV in Tenal.

So this is the status now, Razor is making timers a day for us, SOV and tech. They sit in the USTZ and can do this safely since we dont have any force yet that can deal with in that TZ. Only two alliances us and INIT are fighting the combined CFC, a metric shitton of alliances, cos Ev0ke isn’t active. NCdot is moving home to Tribute with the whole shebang.

Now I am sad to say that we can all see that RDN members are dead tired of defending Tenal and fighting “The Blob”. So instead of burning every last one of us down, we are choosing not to do it anymore. This does not mean we are done or that we dont have plans, this just means we are not gonna give a fuck more about the region we havent really used since Christmas, a damn ratting region.

It is plain to see that Razor wants Tenal lot more than we want to keep it.

After the great NC-war we took Tenal for us to build supercaps and to chill abit between deployments, now that we aren´t actually building supercaps there anymore, its more than pointless to keep paying for SOV and fruitlesly trying to defend it when we have so little to gain for it. We still hold 90% of the Vale of the Silent.

One can say that wars have up and down swings, we are hoping that with NCdot here and Ev0ke hopefully getting their shit together, we can turn the tide back on the hostiles, time will tell.

The War is far from over and to be honest. We were the first to fight them when they attacked WN in Branch and have given them a bloody nose time after time again since.

The war is not over, the allies come and go and the space comes and goes. We are not defined by our allies and we are certainly not defined by our ratting grounds. And I must say that having assets reaching from Geminate to Tenal to low sec in 5 regions is hell of way to go to defend shit, so logistically it is infact nice to cut down abit on it.

We are going to stay in Venal, we are going to keep fighting like we always do, that is afterall how most of us define this alliance we call Raiden. We are going to look on opportunities to drop on our enemies when they relax their guard.
