Goons are alive as long as you talk about them.
True but with (i think i've seen 2 of them) CSM members it will be hard to not mention them at all.
Some Highsec wars against them might bring some nice targets for those lurking around some icefields.
So do you think goons are rather doing that to show a failure in game mechanics, or just for "fame" (which they probably don't really need anyway!) ? Maybe both.

I wouldn't call it 'fame', some of it is just plain 'FAIL'. I was afk mining in my hulk last night and walked into the room to the sound of an explosion. Seems CONCORD locked onto the -10 sec status faster than the Goon BC could lock onto my stationary hulk as my shields were still @ 100%.

you are absolutely right about that. The oxy topes are sky rocketing in price and the goons having there own ice belts can harvest as much ice as they can carrier (no matter if there are mining bots or not)
