We have always been an enemy of “long” audio files, given that in average we take to read a 1/8 of the time a spoken medium takes to express the same information, a forty-minutes audio might be too much by some of our readers.

Tacticalgamer.com has published an article about Incarna and has an extensive audio interview with CCP Flying Scotsman, Lead Game Designer for Incarna and CCP Soundwave, Lead Game Designer for Flying in Space. The interview covers numerous hot topics regarding
EVE Online, the Incarna expansion and the future of our universe.
The 200MB wav file was in our opinion a badly chosen medium which could end up in interested parties dismissing it, so we took the liberty to upload it to SoundCloud:

blablabla, soon, not yet, we are looking into that, bla bla, maybe, trying to, coming but no idea when, blabla, not in the near future, blabla, blabla, NO!, blabla maybe, maybe not. CLICK
it's a shame if there is to be no 'no-incarna' button. I find the movement awful and stilted (though that could be down to my computer), strafing also turns your whole character that direction which for some reason irritates me. There is also no run, crouch or jump (that i can find). Having played fps for some time it is difficult to get into this new system of movement, it just doesn't feel right to me. If this is how WoD will play then i will definitely give it a miss.
what a horrible distraction from the actual game.
Yay ccp, more tattoos in the next release! I mean, didn't want those new T3's anyway, it's not like you promised them to come like a bajillion years ago, so it's cool. It's also not like EVE is supposed to be about spaceships, this is an upcoming 3D-Chat, right?
Gotta admit, Im starting to get more interested in their ideas for a supercap balance.
It would be nice if Black-ops battleships got a useful secondary role. Right now, they're very much a niche speciality ship, who just bridge bombers around half the time. I know quite a few cap pilots who just picked them up because they had to get BS V and jump drive skills on their way to their carrier or dread.
Maybe they'd finally give Black-ops boats a covert-ops cloak finally. God knows a bunch of us have been asking for that for long enough.
As for the rest…ehh, usual CCP. I can't wait for them to get done with Incarna so that we can stop hearing about it. Its a gimmick, at best, that a decent chunk of the fan-base just finds useless, or worse, distracting. I know I make sure my "load station environments" setting is always turned off.
Maybe once their done getting Incarna settled in, we can finally get some balances and updates that actually matter to the game itself.
I never thought of giving the blackops an "anti-capital" role. Very interesting idea.
I'm not against it, as long as they don't completely gimp the ship more in other ways. But maybe a change would get more people undocking and actually using their toys.
I find it a shame CCP doesnt invest more time into this game. All they seem to be doing is marketing an idea. The whole Soon ™. Stop the talk and walk the walk CCP. I agree with the remark in the article about what CCP is doing on mon-fri. My guess is, they are not putting much effort in this game. If companies can make an entire new game in under one year. Why cant CCP create a proper expansion in 6 months. Every time im reading about this great idea and that great idea. And in the end. We dont even get a portion of it.
Hybrids…… anything?
I'm very new to the game, but it seems like they are talking about a lot of "adding stuff for the sake of having more stuff." All this useless 3d fps style animation stuff is drawing a lot of manpower i would imagine. Some parts of the game seem incomplete and I really feel like the focus should be on things that have actual utility within the game. Things that affect the economy, UI, and battle balance should be priority over all others.
As far as basic user interface, I really wish it was more easily customizable. There are some things that are very redundant, (like all the different ways to find a single location in the interface) and some things I never use. I would like to be able to just get rid of or hide certain menu items i never use. The UI seems so damn cluttered, unnecessarily. I come from RTS games, and I am so used to being able to hotkey things the way I like them, which allows for very high apm. I would like to be able to use my keyboard hand and mouse hand together to do things faster.
Also, when I set a destination why does it highlight the stargate location in the overview and then I get to the system, the actual destination within the system isn't highlighted. Doesn't make sense from a UI standpoint. I have to repeat the same steps to warp to it that I did to set the destination.
I know a lot of people are gonna flame the crap out of me, but as an eve noob with 25+ years of gaming under my belt in almost every genre there is, these are the things that stand out to me.
CONFRIMIGN I VER NEW TO.
ALSO I THNIK THET CCCP DO NEED TO FIX PL FIRST
ALSO WHIL AT THESE, CCCP NEED FIX DRF TO.
KEEP UP GOOD POASTIGN!
ROFL!! HAHA
Would love Blackops to get CovOps Cloak and Dic Bubble / HIC Point to make them the perfect CovertSupercapTacklers…
They would need a reduced signature or ridiculous resists too.
Good question good question… i can't tell you (we don't know what to do we need feedback from our forum whiners… the 1% of the game that doesnt play the game and whines).. funny
after listen the interview I come to the conclusion "what a waste of time…"
