In a trap that was at least a week in the making, CVA managed to down three supercarriers and an Archon as well.

The last time The Highwaymen came to Yong, they almost killed a Carrier belonging to CVA. Luckily for the Carrier pilot, he made it inside of the POS shields before he went down, and the Supercarriers were tackled by HICS. They managed to get away through a combination of ECM and luck, and lived to fight another day.

Until today in fact

Today, CVA and Auctorita Alliance re-enacted the previous “mistake” with a Thanatos after confirming that both the Aeons and their cyno alts were online and ready to spring. After a Rapier cyno’d in the Aeons, the CVA forces Titan bridged in a fleet of HICs, ensuring the enemy wasn’t going anywhere. CVA then Cyno’d in Caps and Supercaps of their own.

The Highwaymen then brought in a specifically fitted Archon to save their supers. The Archon attempted to smartbomb the fighters and bombers to death, but died itself instead. A few minutes later, the three Aeons suffered the same fate, taking only the initial bait Thanatos with them.

After retaking space in Providence, and a more than adequate performance in taking out this threat, is this the first glimmer of a resurgent CVA?

Reason is because CVA fights for the good – they like to deliver 0.0 Access to entities.
Not acting agressive. This can be boring, that's why 98% of eve likes the "evil" side of EvE.
Amarr Victor! And my full respect you guys are still not playing the game like the rest of EvE

Pirates deploying unsupported supercarriers in lower Domain? AND in the same system after they had been tackled once? Not the smartest move…

Nice job CVA…too bad for you that Providence space is now the most useless space in EVE with the recent 0.0 changes.

well CVA are better off leaving provi the way it is so they can actually have a chance of taking it and holding it … i mean if its nice space some people might like it and CVA cant hold space all that long it didnt take much for them to lose provi in the first place ahahah CVA are fail they blobed 3 supers congrats but thats it ther was no fair fight so ther was no victory

When Aralis quit, CVA came back to life. Previous leadership = fail leadership. Currently doing much better.

Agreed. A nasty rumour reaches my ears that now CVA are doing okay-ish, Aralis might come back from the dead. I hope this isn't true however, a lot of old-guard CVA guys believe that once he's gone he will stay gone. And if he comes back, it'll be back to the old days where he did nothing but cry about how CCP have broken his region…

For the State! Oh wait, wrong race. Nice one – for the moment; all it takes is a nudge in the wrong direction and you could lose it all over again. I hope for CVA's sakes that without Aralis at the top, there is finally room for learning from one's mistakes.
